Located in district ‘t Eilandje, we offer you comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi and complimentary breakfast.
With only 15 minutes away from the express highway, we are based just at the border of the city centre. It takes a 20 minutes’ walk to enter the city’s beating heart with all the attractions it has to offer. You will find a metro stop just in front of the hotel with lines 1 and 24 who will bring you to the city centre or Central train station in just a few minutes.

Most enjoyable stay.

On arrival I was recognised by the assistant manager (7 months after my last stay) and given an upgrade. The room was clean, comfortable and we'll serviced. Staff were invariably friendly, efficient and attentive. Breakfast menu was varied and an excellent start to the day. Overall a most enjoyable stay with no negatives.

Just a stroll away from the city centre.
Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is located in the south of Amsterdam, just a five-minute walk from Amsterdam Zuid station, which connects guests to the city center within 10 minutes by metro. Art fans are just 10 minutes away from the masterpieces at the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Bikes are available at the hotel to explore the city like a local.
The hotel offers modern design accommodation with free Wi-Fi, fitness facilities, a business corner and a convenience store in the lobby. Every morning, a full American breakfast with live cooking is served. Visit the Manhattan Lounge Bar for a coffee, some cake and later in the day a tasty cocktail with delicious food.

Great Business Hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Amsterdam South Crowne Plaza. We had previously stayed at the location in the city centre and while it was nice, this one is equally as good, and probably better if you are in town for business. There were several public transport connections very nearby so it was easy and pretty quick to travel from the hotel to various areas of the city.
The room had been well maintained and was very clean. Because of status we were upgraded to a suite, which was nice since we were there for a week. The bathroom was great with a separate shower, but the lighting was a bit of a let down and made it hard to shave or put on makeup. We had club access, which was good as a quiet place to have breakfast or a drink, though one day we did miss out on a hot breakfast because there was no one in the club to place an order.
The only let down for the hotel was the restaurant and pub/bar. The restaurant was not open for dinner on the weekends and this seemed particularly bad because there is a real lack of restaurants in the immediate area. It is clear that this is a business area, so on the weekends it is quiet and a lot of things are closed. Also, neither the restaurant nor the pub seemed to have a selection of local dishes, which I thought was a real shame. The pub served mostly Italian items, like pasta and risotto, and also some burgers and salads. The food was ok, but I think they could do better. I spoke to the manager about this and I really hope that they'll consider adding some local dishes to the menu. I can't be the only guest who has wanted Dutch food when visiting.
Overall, the staff were great and I will definitely return when in Amsterdam on business again.

Guildford station is nearby, and trains reach London in under 45 minutes. Royal Surrey County Hospital and the University of Surrey are within walking distance, and Surrey Sports Park is next door. The whole family can enjoy Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures theme parks, both around a half-hour drive away. LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort can be reached in 40 minutes.
Our conference centre provides business guests with fantastic facilities, including 15 meeting rooms with refreshments available on request. The Club Suite is perfect for weddings or celebrations.

Enjoyable stay for work

A clean and tidy hotel with helpful staff. Food was good but lack of awareness about allergens was a problem - waitress had to keep going to talk to the chef and this needs improving. A comfortable room and a comfy bed meant a good night's sleep for both of us. We will stay again if in the area.
