The positives of this stay- Location was very walkable and also close to public transportation. Most staff were courteous (special recognition to Kentrell and Thomas). The lobby was also very nicely decorated.
The negatives- Care has not been taken to ensure other parts of the hotel are maintained. On the way to my room I walked by a door that looked like someone had tried to kick it down- old, battered and hanging off the hinges. Upon entering the room (311) I noticed a drawer on the tv stand was open. Tried closing it and it would not stay shut. The cabinetry under the minifridge was rotted and splintering with a huge hole. I did a walk through and found blue spots on the toilet and a long hair as well . The floor of the shower was also in need of a good scrub. This did not instill confidence in housekeeping, so after I communicated with front desk i refused their offer of sending housekeeping back up and i proceeded to clean the space as best I could. Upon reading reviews I noticed a picture in a review from two years ago that must have been from someone staying in the same room because the rotted cabinetry under the minifriedge was also in their picture which tells me that nothing has been done to address the issue. The final blow was on my last night when I saw a mouse in the room. When I attempted to grab my phone and take a picture it scurried behind the tv. I brought this to the attention of front desk when I left. I was suppose to have another guest with me on this trip, who at the last minute decided to stay somewhere else. I would have been embarrassed had they experienced this on their birthday celebration. I would not recommend this hotel due to these issues, and will not be staying here in the future. I have pictures of everything i mentioned with the exception of the mouse.
