The room was dirty. The bath/shower drainage was clogged and didn't drain so when we had a shower, a heap of black gunk came out. We had to get someone to come in and plunge the drain. The shape of the bath/shower could also be deemed a safety hazard - especially as the water didn't drain properly.
I was told I had complimentary parking by reception as I booked directly with the hotel (as we came from Australia we had a hire car) and all I needed to do was write my registration on the booking form when checking in. I specifically asked if I needed to type my registration into the machine and was told no. Turns out I received a parking fine from the hotel car park a couple of weeks later. The hotel cancelled the fine when I complained but I received a $150 admin charge from the car hire company which I have had to pay. After weeks of attempting to get the hotel to pay me this amount as their staff caused the issue, they have refused - this is ridiculous as the mistake was made between the hotel and the parking company - not me! Terrible customer service. Especially as I am an IHG member - IHG has lost me as a customer moving forward. Definitely don't stay here!
