The hotel is only 10 minutes from the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) and offers a complimentary airport shuttle for our guests 24 hours daily. No bang for buck

No bang for buck .. place was super crowded .. 30 min wait for breakfast .. one elevator.. staff was great and room was clean .. but for 250.00 a night wasn’t worth it ..

Location is great, Room assignment was dissappointing

My family has 6 members, so I’m not able to get one room that will sleep all 6. I have to reserve two rooms and I’m unable to guarantee that I can get adjoining rooms. That bugs me, but I can accept it. I called ahead before my reservation and requested adjoining rooms or at the very least, rooms in close proximity. I asked what percentage the hotel was booked for the night of my stay and was told 70%. When I arrived, my assigned rooms were on the 1st floor and on the 3rd floor on opposite ends of the building. When I referred to my request that was made at the time of my reservation, I was told that the adjoining rooms were given away to other guests. I asked that we be given rooms at least on the same floor, and the front desk was able to accommodate. My problem is, what good is adding a request to my reservation if it will be ignored and re-requested at check-in? On top of all that, the two rooms that we ended up with WERE adjoining rooms, just not to each other, so it begs the question, why wouldn’t they have assigned one of my neighbors to my other room and held the adjoining rooms for me? Just didn’t feel like loyalty to a Platinum Elite member

Little disappointed

I have always had good stays at Holiday Inn’s. This recent stay however was not. I ended up changing rooms twice because the rooms I was given were not complete. The first room did not have solid curtains. It only had sheer ones. The second room did not have any TV service because the antenna was not connecting/reaching the signal. Bringing it up to the staff’s attention they attempted to replace the antenna with a new one and instead of calling for maintenance or additional help, they asked me to help remove the antenna. The third and final room I was moved to had solid curtains and a few channels and over half of them were in a different language. Due to the prior rooms issues I did not have time to address this until the next day. The staff told me that at the moment all they had were those channels but I could Stream Cast from my phone. After asking for assistance on how to get that feature to work (because it didn’t) the staff gave me the technology support number to call MYSELF to resolve the issue.
The few amenities that are offered at this location plus the fact that my stay had Covid restriction, I was more than understanding but I had incomplete rooms and unsuccessful help from the staff to resolve my issues.

Was disappointed when arriving at the hotel at 8:30 p.m. at night that our room was not ready upon arrival after traveling all day. Waited twenty minutes for room to be ready. The breakfast was still substantial and served in a safe manner during the pandemic.

The hotel looked great. Room was remodeled but I didn't realize til really late that nothing was plugged in. The phone to the hotel didn't work and every time I had to call downstairs I had to use my cell phone. Nonsmoking Hotel, yet the entire place smelled like Pot and at 4 in the morning the fire alarm kept going off because people were smoking in the rooms. So needless to say that I did not sleep well. There was a giant RED stain on the carpet in my room that I have decided to believe was red fruit punch or Gatorade!!!?
The staff was great! Very friendly and quick to help. Just a few logistically issues I would say.

Holiday Inn Poughkeepsie

This is a brand new hotel. Because of Covid there are very few people staying in it. Where do I start? The person that checked me in at the front desk couldn't write the room number on the key envelope, They put me in a room that was the furthest point from the desk. The room still had construction debris and dust all over the place along with being totally freezing. There were still stickers on the sheets and covers being that they were brand new. Because there are so few people there it took over a half hour for the hot water to actually get warm enough to shower. Aside from the fact that they had absolutely no recognition for IHG members or status at least the internet worked, but the TV had very few stations. Stay elsewhere

Hotel smells like weed

First of all, the website lists their indoor and outdoor pools as open, both were closed. When I booked the room the website allowed me to add the extra charge for breakfast even though the restaurant was closed.
When we arrived, the smell of weed hit you as soon as you walk in. The whole building smelled like it.

Poor experience

My family( wife and 3 yr old and 1 yr old) stayed here for 4 nights for my brothers wedding. It was one of the worst experience of our lives. Our flight was delayed and we arrived exhausted almost midnight and the staff had a hard time finding the right reservation. They gave our room to another in the wedding party which meant I couldn’t use my points and had to pay. Was not a competent staff person which was a recurring theme through out our stay. Front desk was not attentive nor helpful. They did not even make eye contact and were too busy when we I went to ask for first aid. The room itself is not child proof. My toddler hit her head on the drawer handle resulting in a deep cut. Front desk does not have first aid handy. The room is cramped with old appliances. Fridge freezes food and when we called they told us the setting was behind the fridge which we lowered but made no difference. Microwave old and loud. Carpets looked dingy and not clean. I do not recommend anyone to stay here. For the price we paid we could have stayed at a much better place in the area.

The Holiday Inn Northwest University Heights hotel offers spacious guest rooms and full suites, microwave and refrigerators in each guest room. Our famous hot breakfast buffet is a favorite, with the sparkling indoor pool, free internet, fitness and business center. With easy access to San Antonio International Airport, Military friendly, we are easy access to JBSA – Camp Bullis and Fort Sam Houston for our military groups and training programs. Our groups love to mingle and have "Ice Breaker" receptions at our Lobby Bar before going out to dinner at great local restaurants.
