Bed service

If you plan on a good night sleep. Not this hotel. Fan in the room on all times. Cannot turn off. No coffee pot in rooms.
Have bad experience checking into this hotel. Front desk clerk not a friendly staff. I will not go back to this hotel. Other hotels around Schaumburg area are better than this hotel.

Nice room and location, pity about the customer service

Nice room and location, pity about the customer service. Yes it was a really hot weekend and it was the afternoon,and unfortunately the pool was not in service. However, the staff checking us in seemed to not care too much that we were really looking forward to using it and this is why we chose to stay here. All it would have taken was a wee bit of empathy and maybe a small gesture for the inconvenience.

Good service, less than great experience

We did not know the Arnold Games were in Columbus and there were almost no rooms available. We got a "handicap" room. The TV remote was user unfriendly. No screen sharing or signing into app. The light over the TV had to be on while watching TV. Turning it off turned off the TV. Mostly I was charged $411 for one night. I realize the prices go up when supply of rooms goes down but for this room in this run down hotel that's gouging. On the plus side the free breakfast was actually pretty good and the front desk staff was very nice.

Dangerous pool

My wife fell getting out of the swimming pool on the 15th due to the loose hand rail and the slimy steps. Then she fell again getting into the pool on the 21st on they finally sent someone to fix it .

Better Book Online....You will get a better price

The era of face to face customer service is gone....

I was told to call the 800 number or open my laptop and book online if I wanted a better price that I found on the IHG website.

I didn't have time to call the 800 number or book online so I was told I could check my bags for 2 hours in order to get $10 off my rate...

Called IHG Guest relations and they agree, call them or book online. There is a 3 page description of screen shots, emails, timing, location address, location phone number, dates, etc. that you need to keep track of to get $10 off

God for bid you allow your front desk personnel to have a "key" to adjust the room price to match IHG website.

I am not booking through a 3rd party....

as far as recognition for IHG Rewards.... Sorry I don't spend 20 night in hotels a year to get to Silver....

We are Gold with AMEX because of their partnership with Marriot I will now spend the extra $30 a night for Marriot. We went for a conference that was located there.

This is the 3rd if not the 4th time this has happened... Shame on me to think they may have corrected their ways.

Filthy room and poor service.

My kids and I have stayed here many times before. The pool and breakfast are usually pretty good, it’s been 2 years since be I’ve stayed. The pool was dirty with a brown film around the entire pool at the water line. The rooms were dirty and the bathrooms in both rooms I experienced were filthy. I cleaned them myself and brought the dirty cloth to the desk. No manager ever contacted me as requested. I won’t stay here again.

Just a very bad stay

I have stayed at this property for at least 10 years, for nine to ten days at a time, two times a year. This recent stay was absolutely not good. I was not offered an upgrade when checking in, and even when I asked for one, I was told there were no rooms available for an upgrade. I selected to stay in a handicap room due to my knee replacement and back operation. The room was newly remodeled, which was nice, with little storage for all the items I had brought while on the road. The problem started when the new motorized shades did not work. The maintenance man said they knew the issue and should not have booked that room. I was moved to a suite. It was pulled from thin air since none were available at check-in.

Again, the remodel was nice. However, the refrigerator had to be replaced, and the shower head only had a dribble for pressure. Both were addressed until I went to take a shower. There was no hot water for six nights. This, too, was reported, and maintenance was called. At best, the hot water temperature reached a lukewarm temperature.
When I checked out, I asked the front desk person, Cindy, if I could have an adjustment in points for the inconvenience. Cindy told me that I seem to always have an issue with my room and that maintenance men had reported to her that the water temperature was set to their standards and that maybe my standards were higher than the hotel's and to find another property.

Nice customer service! I know no other front desk person in my long history as a Diamond Elite with IHC
who has experienced this attitude. I knew that the property was under construction since I was there in November.
This was uncalled for. As Cindy suggested, I will think very hard about switching to another property.
