Won’t stay again

The hotel seemed very short staffed so getting help was impossible. The website listed several amenities which was why we picked this property, however, upon arrival none of the amenities were available. Bar didn’t have liquor license so nothing available. Breakfast was poor. Hot tub and pool closed. Rooms were not clean and bathrooms had mold growing around the tile.

Not a very pleasant stay. Locks did not open with keys consistently, had to wait several minutes before the door opened. Not safe. Tub did not drain. Lights not working properly. Air conditioner did not work properly either.

Confused

I reserved a room using the app and thought that I had paid for it. Upon check in, I was told that I didn’t, but then told that I had. I placed a CC on file for incidentals and went to my room. My family and I went to the indoor pool and swam for about an hour. My children were hungry so we decided to go back to the room and change and then eat at the hotel restaurant. Our room keys were deactivated because I was told I hadn’t paid. Although this interaction was odd, I paid (again) and was able to get into our rooms. We were told upon checking in, breakfast was provided (because I asked). The next morning when my family went to eat, they were told that we didn’t not add that to our reservation and therefore couldn’t have a breakfast coupon. Again, this was odd considering, however my family just ate elsewhere. One of the perks to reserving a room in the app and being a rewards member is free wifi and a late check out. We received neither, and while my husband and son were asleep, the housekeeper actually came into the room and demanded to know why they were still there after check out. After my husband explained that we had a late check out because I and my daughter were at a dance competition and he had my sleeping 5 year old in the room, the housekeeper told him that he had less than an hour to get out of the room. She also told him that they don’t do late check outs there because they are always booked and full.
I will not ever stay in this hotel again, and I have also canceled all future reservations with Holiday Inn. My family travels at least twice a month for competitions and this experience was by far the worst. Not only were we embarrassed multiple times during our stay, but were also given so much wrong information by tue staff, it was so confusing for an over night stay with two children.
Do better and don’t offer things that you don’t actually give.
I will not ever stay in this hotel again, and I have also canceled all future reservations with Holiday Inn. My family travels at least twice a month for competitions and this experience was by far the worst. Not only were we embarrassed multiple times during our stay, but were also given so much wrong information by tue staff, it was so confusing for an over night stay with two children.

The hotel is old truly needs an upgrade. We had no issue with the staff . The front desk reception was courteous and welcoming. The Hotel has a musky stale scent which welcomes you immediately as you enter as well as the hall way to your room. The sleeping area beds tv and furniture are fine bed was comfortable. However, the bathrooms are in terrible shape. The toilet barely flushed and was so low to the floor (like a childs) the shower pieces handles are falling off
As well as the water sprout the water pressure is non existent and takes 10 minutes to offer warm to hot water. We stayed 3 days on a vacation and birthday weekend and will never rebook there in the future.

Terrible place do not go here

There were bedbugs. There were cockroaches one of the most terrible places I have ever stayed. The manager has no idea what she’s doing. The AGM is so stuck up her butt. She doesn’t know how to do anything by herself. This place is truly one of the worst places I have ever stayed would not recommend everything is broke. The only thing that is good are the two head housekeepers and the bartender everyone else is terribly rude, including the food and beverage Director.

This is the verbiage I sent to our Military School House. This was only the short list. CES Student Team and Ms. Hong,
We are having issues with Candlewood Suites. The staff is allowing locals to run around the hotel and follow us to our rooms. They watch what rooms we go too and watch when we leave. Manager allows them to place rooks at the outer doors to come and go. Our safety is compromised. We cannot get a good night sleep because we are afraid that our belongings will be stolen. All of us have government equipment that is at risk of being stolen because we are compromised. We are watched and followed. We were made to sign a document that exempts the hotel from being held accountable for any missing items from our rooms or damage to our cars. This is unheard of at true quality hotels. One student received white towels that are dirty brown and he had to purchase new towels from Wal-Mart. Breakfast was terrible and stale. Bugs in the room bit me in the face. Ouch.
I can go on, but I am in class. I have cc’d some of the students in this email.
We are requesting that the School House move us to another hotel. We are in fear of our safety.!!!!
