Impossible stay under renovation

Check in took more than hour because of systems malfunxtiok; check out took almost half an hour because of the same reason.
Elevator to the 4th floor was simply not working. Swimming pool fully closed due to issues and renovation but beach club did not have additional seating or umbrellas so it was difficult as well.
Room service food quality was not good at all, specially the burger and the frozen fries. Shower pressure was null and temperature regulator did not go all the way.
Pricey point making the overall experience not good value for money. Hope it was only because of the renovation and may soon turnover.

platinum elite car sleeper

on March 15, I booked this hotel. I wasn’t comfortable there so I went to the front desk and I asked if I could switch to the Holiday Inn and suites almost within walking distance. Jasmine the front desk person was extremely cooperative and called the hotel to tell them I would be coming. She even said they have three handicap rooms available do you mind? I said no and I gave her a $10 tip. when I got over to the Holiday Inn. They had no idea who I was. The man working was new and told me he never spoke with Jasmine and didn’t know who she was. my assumption is that Jasmine absolutely pretended to call this hotel and spoke to no one. The front desk man told me I needed me to look up her number. He spoke to Jasmine then he told me I have to call IHG and make myself a new reservation for a hotel that I was sitting in the lobby of. I chatted with IHG because there’s no phone number anymore and they told me that I had to pay $174 for the new room. I could not use my yearly free room. I decided that I would sleep in my car instead I’m 65 years old. in the morning I used the bathroom and I told the front desk lady to take a photo of me because I am probably the first platinum elite member to sleep in my vehicle. She told me if I would’ve come in she could’ve given me the room for my free night or for $109. She was the night worker. She offered me to have a breakfast. afterwards I had to drive eight hours home on four hours of sleep from my Kia soul I need I say more about the disgusting customer service I received from IHG, Jasmine, who lied and the front desk, man who was new and had no idea what he was doing and didn’t really care.

The closest hotel to Inner Harbor!

Not what we expected

When I called to book the hotel I wanted the cruise package, where our car stayed and we were shuttled to the cruise port for free. I booked the room for my husband, myself and our 2 kids. They never once told me over the phone that only 2 people were transferred for free and that they would charge me $24 per extra person. When I was checking in, I was confused on the charging and asked a question but because of their accents they were hard to understand and said it would be refunded. While I was on my cruise I checked my credit card statement and they charged me $48, when we got back I asked the lady at the front desk and she then told me it was for the extra 2 people for transport. If I had known it wasn't already included in the cruise package I never would have booked at this hotel the price was not worth it.

Good room, rude staff

I was very disappointed in this hotel. Starting at check in I was not greeted, told no information about the hotel or amenities and the front desk staff just acted as if I was inconveniencing them. Not one interaction with staff was pleasant, everyone had a chip on their shoulder and never once was nice. The room layout and the option to have a separate bedroom is great, just wish staff was more welcoming.

There were ROACHES in our room. Three roaches were found. Two in the beds and one in the bathroom. One staff member told us he did not know of the problem, but one, more experienced with the property, said she was aware and they had been working hard to exterminate them to eliminate the problem.

Room was ok/Service - Very Lacking

First of all, our reservation was for 3 guests. When we arrived , our bath linens consisted of 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, 3 washcloths and NO bath mat. Strange! I was able to get additional linens at the front desk. The next morning, the breakfast experience was terrible! When we arrived, all the tables were dirty, the attendant never came out to clean any of them. NO CINNAMON ROLLS!! (Not even any empty trays). And when I requested ketchup, I was told there was none. Really? The worst, though, was the large group of adult women in their pajamas! Some, large women in shortie pj's. Not a pleasant dining experience! As they were (FINALLY) leaving, we noticed one of the large women was wearing a bikini with a fishnet cover up. GROSS! DO YOU NOT HAVE A DRESS CODE FOR YOUR DINING AREA? Maybe you should.

Not as Expected

I have stayed at this location several times since it opened in Yorkton but not in the last year. My stay was always excellent in the past but this stay was different. The room was tidy but not clean. The bedding smelled like strong laundry chemical/cleaner and made me feel ill. The bathroom had limited supplies and although the refillable containers had 'Dove' labels - it was definately not 'Dove' products in the refillable containers.
Very disappointed.
