Communication Breakdown

The hotel cancelled my prepaid reservation through Priceline, created a reservation in my name without my consent, and charged me twice as much as my prepaid cost. I received no help with this matter through the corporate office.

Several attempts to get basic service

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Indigo Paddington due to security issues and inconsistency in service. We chose this hotel over higher tier brands because our children are allergic to pet dander so we thought it best to choose a hotel that did not allow pets. Check in was smooth, however upon asking for synthetic/non-feather pillows, we were told there weren't any. I've worked in hotels for years and travel for work. Having hypoallergenic pillows is not an unreasonable request. This is the first time in 17 years we've been told no. Just being told "no" without any follow up is not very hospitable.

When we asked again later in the evening, we were told to try Primark. We're traveling internationally and have to traipse around London to find hypoallergenic pillows? On our walk to dinner, I phoned the front desk again to inquire how the property usually accommodates allergies. Finally, Lessy (spelling?) was really great and phoned a sister property to get four pillows delivered.

We were told that the sofa bed was not dressed, however we could call down at any time to have it made up. We got back to the room around 10pm only to be told that housekeeping was gone. I have no problem putting sheets on the bed, however that required another call to get some sheets brought up. If you're not going to have housekeeping around at night then just leave the sheets and blankets in the room for the guest to make it the bed. Also remove the towel warmer since it does not work.

When booking the two rooms, I specified four adults and two children. Yet every day we were only left two towels. So every night we had to call down for additional towels and some washcloths. It took two tries to get the washcloths. Then another night we were told the property didn't have washcloths. Is the property bring your own pillow and bring your own washcloth?

The kicker is that upon returning to their room in the evening, my parents found their room door WIDE OPEN. This was not their doing as the housekeeper had made up the room while they were gone. How is that even possible? What kind of lackadaisical culture does this property have?

Terrible stay

Probably the worst hotel stay I’ve had yet. Got there, front desk employees greeted us then continued their conservation like we weren’t there. Room wasn’t ready, which happens sometimes not a huge deal. Employee told us that our double room was almost ready and we had to explain that our reservation was for a King room. Got our room key shortly after. We were in our room for about 15 minutes when a cleaner knocked on our to deliver towels which she said our room called for, we never called. 5 minutes later another employee knocked on our door with customers behind her and seemed surprised that we were in there and said she didn’t realize we were in there. Then the first employee came back and asked if we were in the right room and asked for our receipt and paperwork. Was told that we needed to call the front desk to get it figured out. While my husband was trying to talk to the employee the front desk called our room and asked for all our information because they had given us the wrong room key and apparently didn’t know where they put us. Front desk employee gave a lot of excuses but never apologized for anything.

Room Was Filthy

I have stayed at this Saybridge 4 or 5 times in the last couple of years while attending events in Lubbock. This time the room was filthy! Floors through out the room were not cleaned and appeared to have not been cleaned in quite some time. There was food and other spilled items on the kitchen and bathroom floors. The living area had not been vacuumed in quite some time. The coffee pot had old coffee and old coffee grounds still in the coffee maker. The sinks, faucets and counter tops had a dirty film on them from being cleaned with dirty rags. And to top it off there was an empty whiskey bottle left in the room. Employees should be fired for the condition of this room. I will never stayed stay here again!

Squeaky bed and no soundproofing - first time for an uncomfortable experience

First, let me say that I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and never really had a bad or uncomfortable experience, until last weekend. Our room was on the 7th floor. The bed squeaked every time you moved on it. Extremely annoying and uncomfortable. We were in the bed late and because of the lateness we tried to endure and did not contact the front desk as they would have wanted to move us. We are older and we were tired and in Winnipeg for very personal stressful reasons.
If the squeaky bed wasn't enough, we heard the people on either side of our room and the people above us using their bathrooms. This meant they heard us. We have never experienced that before. I mentioned this to front desk at checkout that they needed to do something about the squeaky bed and then the supervisor, for what ever reason, was brought out and wanted to know if we complained earlier. I told her no and why and that we weren't asking for anything. Very disappointing weekend.

Great Service & Clean

This hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was great for a hotel. I do wish the firm bed pillows were a little more firm.

Great Hotel Experience

The staff was welcoming and attentive and the common areas were clean and well maintained. The room was spotless, spacious, and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The complimentary breakfast is always a nice way to start the day. Free breakfast should not be a draw

Nothing on the breakfast buffet was hot. With over an hour before closing, much food was gone and not refilled while we were there. The tables, which are plentiful, were filthy, as was the floor. With as many people who utilized the free breakfast, someone should be cleaning tables and sweeping eggs from under them throughout the service. The beds were very soft and uncomfortable, in my opinion. Staff, however, were polite and the rooms were clean. Next time, I’d stay next door instead of here.
