Bacon fat from Clothing Iron

Overall the hotel is average, the elevators are slow and inadequate. There are a lot of sketchy people at all times at the front of the hotel. The next morning when ironing my shirt for work, bacon fat spewed out of the iron ruining my shirt. A partial refund was offered.

Hotel shouldn’t be an IHG hotel. This hotel is so dirty and wore out. Furniture was so dirty in the room and full of stains you couldn’t sit on them. The second I got to the room I instantly tried to find a new place to stay but couldn’t unfortunately. The best part of the hotel is the pool. I feel they have put all there money in that and forgot about the hotel itself. Very disappointed that Holiday Inn and IHG has this type of place.

Service needs improvement. Ice machines are on inconvenient locations. Notable ice machines worked. Elevators and halls smelled musty. Bell on first elevator extremely loud. Clerks at front desk couldn't give directions to the closest Target or Walmart. Poor rating.

Without the kind and able assistance of two of your staff this would have been even worse! Please THANK BRENT AND JAYDEN, who were helpful, kind, courteous and professional! We were grateful for both employees.
The hotel was without a TV signal both afternoons and nights! UNACCEPTABLE!~!! NO TV!! We SAW dissatisfied clients leave.
Not at all what we have come to appreciate and expect from a Holiday Inn Express hotel. Very disappointed. Believe we should be compensated with two complimentary nights at the hotel of our choice! (no not a resort)! Horrible experience!

Mostly awesome, except...

The overall stay was great, except housekeeping was terrible. During a four night stay, housekeeping only came in once, and failed to empty the trash, remove dirty dishes, replace toilet paper, and the shower was out of soap our entire stay. The front desk staff were wonderful, and really made us feel welcome. Other then the housekeeping issue, it was great. Even with this shortcoming, I would not hesitate staying here again. It was a really nice place!

Upon arrival in our room we noticed the bed linens were wrinkly. Not "fresh out of the dryer" wrinkled but just slept on wrinkled. The pillow cases, the sheets and the bedspread. I lifted the bedspread and found live ants. Makes sense since the bedside table was covered in crumbs. The floor had crumbs all over the carpet and the kitchen floor. It was late and we were pressed for time with our plans so we ran to the store on the way back to the hotel and grabbed blankets, pillow cases and sheets and used those for the duration of our stay. we bought cleaning supplies as there wasn't a single item to use in the room, not even dish soap for the sink. We thoroughly cleaned the room and threw the bath and face towels in the washing machine (on site laundry). We mentioned it to the front desk. She couldn't have been sweeter and offered to change the bedding in our room. But we didn't feel comfortable using their linens and just used ours out of caution. We've stayed at this hotel before and the last time the fridge was broken and we lost our groceries that we bought for our stay. They moved us the next day but it was too late at that point. No reasonable compensation was offered for our troubles. So...lesson learned...Not going to stay at this hotel again.

Upon arrival to the hotel, we were informed the pool was closed. The front desk staff was indifferent. I was overcharged by a few dollars more than what my confirmation said. My recommendation is to call the hotel to see if everything you are expecting is working and open.

The Staybridge Suites Calgary Airport is an extended stay hotel that is centrally located, beautiful, convenient and lively. We are located in the Sunridge area of Calgary and it is home to numerous businesses and attractions including Stantec, Peter Lougheed Hospital, Goodlife Fitness, TELUS Spark and Calgary Zoo. Traveling is convenient for business guests, as we are near the TransCanada Highway and Stoney Trail. We are 7 km from Calgary International Airport (YYC) and just 10 km from the downtown area. We are a quick commute to SAIT and University of Calgary. The Staybridge Suites Calgary Airport hotel offers a free shuttle to and from Calgary International Airport. Both business and leisure travelers appreciate the complimentary daily hot breakfast and social reception featured Monday to Wednesday. Grab a snack in our Pantry. Very poor stay

By far the worst Staybridge experience globally. The receptionist was unaware of the perks for IHG Platinum members and didn’t offer any upgrades, even though there was availability. The temperature in the suite was inconsistent throughout the stay. Upon checkout, the only response from reception was a simple “we are sorry,” with no effort made to address or resolve the issues.
