Nice location, big room for improvement

The location was very good. The check-in and check-out experience is efficient and smooth.
Some issues experienced:
1- The breakfast:
Quality and diversity of the food was very poor. Not enough options for vegetarians or for people who can't eat pork. Boiled eggs were kept in a refrigerator, and were very cold.

- The gym, although indicated to be opened 24/7 Hours, was found closed at around 8 PM.

Unfortunately this was my worst stay in a IHG hotels, for three days no clening at room, I found a shirt of previous guest next to the courtains and the door were open in the morning by staff, when I was dressing after shower, twodays later another staff knock hard and contantly before eight am when I was in the shower. During the nights I was there a lot of noise, dog barking, etc.
As I said I will not return to this hotel.

Upon check-in was issued a room walked in believe somebody was either staying in the room or it was not cleaned there were towels all over the floor the bed was not made and there were bags of food I quickly turned around to walk out advise the hotel front desk issued me a new room went and check the room prior to me going in to ensure it was ready the bed was super hard like a piece of board very hard to sleep eggs for breakfast were folded in an omelette with several weird things inside of it maybe a plain egg would be okay Hotel staff was helpful

Great Location, however...

We have stayed at multiple Hotel Indigos and enjoyed most of them, this one, not as much. This hotel is in a great location, however we had a few issues. First of all, to get here there is no direct drop off in front of the hotel. You have to be dropped off 1-2 blocks away, pull your suitcases through the busy square, and carry them up stairs in order to check in. Not a problem if you have 1 lightweight suitcases, but if you have more than that it will be a problem. We were offered drink vouchers but were not informed they work on beer and wine only, no mixed drinks. No washcloths in the bathroom. The elevators were very slow and tiny. Other than that, the staff was very friendly.

Okay..good location..figure the amenity fee into total price

This is the prior named Hotel Indigo. Nothing has really changed except it is easier to get morning coffee. You go to a common room on each floor to get water, ice, or use a microwave. The amenity fee - which they say is for beach chairs, the van, parking, bikes - should just be part of the original cost. We did park but had no time for use of anything else. Don't forget to ask for housekeeping services. Staff are pleasant and we appreciated that. It is in a good location for sure but there are more hotels around there every time we come (having lived in the Sarasota area). Wish they would kick it up a notch...but no need to do so we guess.

We encounter at least 4 dog owners on the 6th floor. These are the best rooms and should not be shared with animals. We developed flee bites during our stay in room 610. We did not expect that we'd be sharing the same floor or possibly a room (previous person with a pet) with animals.

Great staff

The staff was great, even down to housekeeping. The hotel itself needs a lot of work, especially the rooms. When checking in my bedsheets had stains on them, the heating/cooling system had all kinds of stuff inside it. My bathroom smelled like urine even after housekeeping cleaned it. The carpet needs to be replaced, as well as the phone in the room. Even tho the staff was amazing I wouldn’t stay here again.

Nevertheless I spent lots of money at restaurants and bar never got any points for it. Restaurant wait time was too long, waited more than 30 minutes for a tuna steak.

Poor food

Ordered chicken wings as a starter and they weren’t cooked . They were soggy and raw in the middle looks like they were thrown in a deep fat fried for a couple of minutes then put on a plate .
