Decent size rooms for a new city centre hotel . USB charging points in the bedrooms. Blackout curtains. Was in upper floor, no noise problems (can't answer for lower floors)
Make sure to work out which of the light switches is the master switch for all the bedroom lights or you'll be limited to the small bedside spotlights.
A very good range of choices for the breakfast buffet- fill up for the day ahead. Look out for special deal prices, can save ££££

Good stay but off putting treatment at check- in

I stay at this hotel when on business n Manchester. My room was comfortable and at a very reasonable temperature, which was a relief as I prefer a coolish room. The only improvement I would suggest for the room would be the provision of a soap dish in the Shower, be warned if in a Standard room none is provided so you have to scrabble on the shower tray for your shampoo/soap/shower gel. An unusual event for an Holiday Inn.
I was disappointed with the comparatively off hand approach be the young member of staff on check-in, which I would have found very off putting if it had been my first visit.

Guest feedback is important to us and I therefore thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
It was indeed disappointing to hear of your experience at check-in on this occasion compared to other visits. Your feedback has been shared with my Reception Manager who was disappointed to hear this too but will of course address with his team.
Whilst I see your preference to have a soap dish, our bathrooms across the property were designed with a shelf within shower unit with a view that our guests could place their soap, shower gel, shampoo etc in easy reach of each other.
Despite these two issues, I was pleased to read that you normally have a most pleasant stay and always find the team helpful and well-mannered.

Comfortable Ipswich hotel with a health club.
Holiday Inn® Ipswich hotel is only 10 minutes by car from the town centre.
We’re conveniently located at the junction of the A12 and A14, a quick drive from Ipswich Station, offering direct trains to Cambridge, Norwich and London. If you’re exploring the local area, you can take a scenic river cruise at the nearby Ipswich Waterfront, catch a stock-car race at Foxhall Stadium or visit Wolsey's Gate, a Tudor brick gateway that's reportedly haunted. The bed, the sheets and the duvet made for a great night's sleep. The room is JUST big enough for two people if you're making a short stay. Holiday Inn showers are always a joy. The corridors are long and never-ending, with white walls and white doors and the effect is a bit like being in a space station!
