Only after I contacted the official IHG helpline was the check in issue resolved, allowing my parents to check in. This experience was highly frustrating and disappointing, especially considering the reputation of your establishment. The uncooperative and impolite attitude of the front desk staff was not at all what I would expect from a hotel of this caliber.

The hotel is located closely to the major train station in Shanghai. This is very convenient to travel via underground walkways. You have no worry about not place for shopping and get decent foods. A good breakfast to enjoy different food. However, there are rooms for the management team to improve … Room cleanliness : the room is so called ready for guest to stay, while when I checked in…. It showed not totally ready, as some of garbage still remained in the room. It’s a very unacceptable to take the room like that. Although the reception help me to move to a new room. It’s is still hard to believe in the cleanliness of the room for this hotel. Management system: maybe the room is not yet ready to stay, but the system was wrong about the status…. The hotel management might need to find the root cause and avoid the above issue again. Drop off area: As taking a taxi from airport to the hotel, it is not allowed to take a left turn when following the navigation… Turn out I was forced to drop off to the opposite of the hotel and take my own luggage to hotel… not sure if the road next to the hotel drop off area can be replaced by a double dotted line…anyway it’s subject to the safety and traffic’s concern. (Just a thought). Overall, this hotel is located in a very good location for easy travelling.

Our usual hotel choice with clean room and complimentary breakfast. Front desk staff were courteous and friendly. Clean Room with sufficient space. Even better if they can provide more breakfast varieties.
The hotel is near to local train station but slightly far from high speed train stations or Hong Kong/China Border. If you intend to spend time in dongmen then this is the place. It’s just within 10mins cab ride.
