I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially when the electricity went out—they kindly carried my luggage up to the fifth floor, which I greatly appreciated. The room was spotless and well-maintained, offering a comfortable environment for my stay.
However, the gym facilities were a bit disappointing, as only one treadmill and one cycling machine were available. On the other hand, the hotel provided sufficient washing machines and dryers for guests, with detergent conveniently included, which was a nice touch.
In terms of location, it's quite far away from People's Square (the city centre of Shanghai (?)).
Overall, it's a decent experience with minor improvements needed for the gym.

I was stayed Non-smoking floor for two nights. However smoke smell spread everywhere at night so we requested to handle this matter since 9 PM and they said someone will be coming. The problem is, nobody came up our room 1 and a half hour ! So we visited lobby 10:30 at night and claimed manager. They firstly guide the room change for the sleep at the same tower but suddenly they change the words extremely far from our existing room. If we accepted, we should move mid-night of 12/31, because the manager was not professional and hard to listen so communication of claim was so long even at the lobby with cold !
At last, we were so tired so would be endure smoke smell during all night because we should leave tomorrow morning for another schedule. Because our discussion was still going 1 A.M, even 1/1 New Year. It was literally terrible experience and horrible start of new year.
We wanna celebrate Happy New Year and expected memorable experience as like as other city of Intercontinental, It was memorable one with bad meaning.
Hotel has duty to prepare the best room for our reservation. This is a serious reason of termination of contract. I will re-consider whether I maintain IHG loyalty or not.
When we do check out we must check an invoice carefully coz my experience of this time stayed in hotel. I found that hotel has charged unknown expenses to my billl approximately 2,000+ HKD in total four days stay in hotel. I checked this out with staff and he also don’t know and simply remove transactions out of bill. What if I didn’t check carefully??
18,000HKD for 4 nights aren’t cheap price for paid. A must carefully check in this regard to customers.
