The bed felt like sleeping on a cloud, and I woke up refreshed every morning. The service was top-notch; the staff was attentive without being intrusive. They really made me feel at home. Highly recommend!

We got room upgrade due to our Diamond Elite. The room is very spacious with two double beds. Staff is very friendly and the location of the hotel is also good to explore Dalian. We also enjoy the excellent breakfast with so much food variety and also tasty. Even though the hotel is a bit old but the management maintained the hotel well. The only minor is when we first entered the room there is some room odor but it disappeared.

Firstly, as an IHG Ambassador member, I should have received either a confirmable room type upgrade or complimentary 10,000 IHG reward points. I received the same room type with club access (which is still far from other InterContinental Hotel standards, in my opinion) and an extra complimentary breakfast instead??!!
Secondly, the hotel room's outdated furnishings and age created a disappointing first impression. The worn furniture and decor fell short of the advertised experience. I paid for a river view room and discovered I could not open the curtains due to the hotel's window cleaning schedule upon arrival!!!
Furthermore, the exclusive IHG Ambassador reception staff's lack of warmth added to the negative experience. A more welcoming and helpful attitude would have greatly improved my stay.
Lastly, I also received 0 points and 0 nights due to a disqualifying stay, despite significant spending!!!!! (But thanks to AMEX Platinum butler service, which has already helped me claim for this mistake.)
It is disheartening when hospitality falls short of expectations in such noticeable ways.

We got warm welcome when we checked in and my diamond membership was well recognized. the cleanliness of the room is perfect, and we got welcome drinks which is great. the breakfast was perfect, the noodle is delicious. great experience and I might revisit soon.
