A Remarkable Layover Stay at Intercontinental Hong Kong Stanford

During my recent layover en route to Jeju, South Korea, I had the pleasure of staying at the Intercontinental Hong Kong Stanford, and it was nothing short of exceptional. Though brief at just 12 hours, my stay provided a much-needed respite during a long journey. What stood out the most was the seamless early check-in process. The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate my request, allowing me to settle in and rest almost immediately upon arrival. This thoughtful gesture made a significant difference, ensuring I could maximize my downtime with uninterrupted sleep before my next flight. The room was impeccably clean and spacious and exuded a sense of tranquility—perfect for relaxation. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the amenities provided everything I needed for a short but rejuvenating stay. Every detail, from the soft linens to the serene ambiance, was designed with guest comfort in mind. Although I didn't have time to explore the hotel's offerings fully, the staff's level of service and attentiveness left a lasting impression. Their professionalism and warm hospitality turned what could have been a rushed layover into a truly delightful experience. Compliant and Compliment with staff during breakfast time

Writing express my extreme disappointment with the level of reception and some service that I received during my recent stay at Intercontinental Hong Kong. As a frequent traveler, I understand that not every hotel experience can be perfect, but the issues I encountered during my stay were unacceptable. Firstly when I checked in at club intercontinental B2 Level the front desk was not informed me about the benefit for restaurants & bars credit of up to USD20 per stay. Secondly, about the room when I go out and go back to my room the key card cannot use it I don't know what happen I have to go down again and my room it was very far from the lift, my room on 18 level I have to go up and down the stairs, it make me and my mom very tried. I never see the hotel have to walk up and down the stairs like this before. After I was requested to change the room for the new room there is no bathtub same as the previous room. It's a waste of time to across something like this.
But I would say thank you for Mr. Alex Dalmas He is very helpful and very excellent service during breakfast time.
Another thing the smell of shampoo and shower gel with Blanche of byredo not good I think the smell Bal D'AFRIQUE of Byredo is better than

Staff perform to the highest level from lobby greeting staff, front desk reception to housekeeping and food and beverage! The view over the harbour is first class. Amazing landscape to wake up to and the evening lights are picture postcard perfect. The only request I would please ask is that the hotel English address on the IHG app has a “Translate this address for the driver” icon into Chinese. Two of the hotels I have stayed in China offer this option and it really helps the taxi drivers! I had a very confused taxi driver who couldn’t read the English address, and my Chinese vocab fell short of the task, so I opted to walk for an hour across Hong Kong to reach the hotel. It was a good scenic tour and helped to burn off a few calories before indulging in the extensive Intercontinental breakfast selection the following morning. The variety has to be viewed to be believed. Top quality! Thank you to management and staff for a most memorable and rewarding stay.

Das Hotel InterContinental ist super gelegen und man kann viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erkunden. Das Personal versucht einem wirklich jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen und hilft gerne. Wir hatten alleine dadurch schon einen sehr angenehmen ersten Aufenthalt in Hongkong.
Aus unserer Sicht, benötigt das Hotel aber dringend eine Zimmer- und Möbel Modernisierung. Viele Türen und Einrichtungsgegenstände sind in die Jahre gekommen. Steckdosen, Schalter, Teppiche uvm. sowie die Einrichtung Allgemein sind nicht mehr zeitgemäß und stammen aus den goldenen 80er Jahren. Auch der Pool und Sport Bereich benötigt eine Sanierung. Zudem verfügt das Hotel über keinen Wellness Bereich (keine Sauna). Das ist bei einem Hotel dieser Kategorie sehr schade und passt nicht.
In Summe würden wir das Hotel - wenn es denn dann renoviert ist, bei unserm nächsten Besuch wieder buchen.

This hotel was opened in last November, but already showing poor quality in utilities. Aircon makes a very loud noise, the mirror lights were out the whole time, gym is located in lower ground with no aircon/heat on, no lights in the hallway of lower ground which makes it very creepy. Staff was incompetent, no one was there to refill the coffee machine at breakfast area. Front desk also showed no sign of taking the above mentioned problems seriously. A very disappointing experience to conclude.
