I recently stayed at this hotel and was unfortunately quite disappointed with the level of service I received. I had purchased the hotel’s buffet one evening, which was advertised as “all you can eat and drink” until 9:30 PM. However, despite the fact that the buffet was supposed to remain open until 9:30, the staff started putting away the alcohol at 8:00 PM. When I asked for another drink, they informed me that they were no longer serving alcohol—even though there was still well over an hour left before closing time.
To make matters worse, I was told I couldn't order whiskey by itself and that it had to be a mixed drink. I neither wanted nor was made aware of this rule before, and there were no signs indicating such a restriction. It felt very disorganized, and the staff couldn’t provide a clear reason for the policy.
Hoping for better service, I went to the hotel bar afterward. Unfortunately, the bartender on duty didn’t even seem to know how to measure a single shot of whiskey. There was no shot glass available, and I had to wait while they contacted the manager to bring one. This experience was both baffling and frustrating, especially given that a hotel bar should be equipped to handle basic drink orders.
Finally, when it was time to check out, the process was extremely slow—taking about 20 minutes. In my experience, checkout at most hotels is fairly quick, usually no more than five minutes. This delay compounded my overall sense that the staff were not well-trained and did not value their customers’ time.
In summary, while the hotel itself might have potential, the overall service was disappointing. The staff’s lack of competence—from managing the buffet policy to handling simple bar requests and efficient checkouts—made my stay far less pleasant than it should have been. I hope the management will focus on improving staff training and communication so that future guests receive a better experience.

I love this place and their staff. Before heading for our check in, I informed the reservation desk of our needs because we stayed only for less than 10 hours due to our flight layover. I was surprised that when we arrived, the staff said (I was not able to get his name) that they already prepared our room. The check in process was so fast, we were able to get immediately into our room. This was impressive knowing that it really satisfied our needs because we were all tired and sleepy from our flight. Being an ambassador member also, we were given the best service and treatment from this hotel. They got our Didi car reserved as well before our check out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Crowne Plaza Sanya Haitang Bay from February 13th to 17th, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The resort is beautifully situated by the beach, offering stunning views of the turquoise ocean and lush landscapes. The facilities were top-notch, with spacious rooms that were both luxurious and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the area. Large modern room with a huge balcony.
What truly made our stay memorable was the service, particularly from the Experience Ambassador, Polly. From the moment we arrived, Polly went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of. Her warm and attentive demeanor made us feel like valued guests throughout our stay. She provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options, and even helped with any special requests we had, making us feel completely at ease.
