My stay at Holiday Inn Express Pudong was ok, however the aircraft noise permeates through to the rooms. I appreciated the ear plugs. Room comfort is ok, just a bit plain as with the internal balcony chairs.
Reception staff ok and assisted with the vending machine for limited food/drink offerings.
Breakfast was good and was offered varieties of fresh noodles by the chef.
Notably is an airport hotel and nothing of interest around the hotel. Shuttle to and from airport was convenient and timely.

Great hotel for smokers

The hotel was clean, economical, and close to airport. Only problem was invasive cigarette smoke made breathing difficult in rooms.

We understand how uncomfortable and concerning it must have been to have difficulty breathing because of this. This is not in line with the comfortable and healthy environment we strive to provide for all our guests.
We will take immediate steps to investigate this matter and strengthen our no-smoking policies in the rooms. Our staff will also be more vigilant in monitoring and ensuring that such situations do not occur again.

I’d like to spend one night at intercontinental Taichung due to impressive stay in Kaohsiung intercontinental. However I found that staff in Taichung was lack of profession and enthusiasm. Much information was not given if I didn’t ask.
