Like 1) Location A bit far from downtown but very close to the exhibition center 2) staff in lobby ( wear in green dress) and Chinese restaurants services are great . 3) room spacious and clean
Dislike 1) no greeting from front desk during check in
2) there’s only less than 1/3 size of bottle left of shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the bathroom .

we booked 1 King Classic and thanks for your upgrade to 1 King Classic Lounge Access.
However, we were so disappointed when we made clarification with your reception staff.
1) the upgraded room floor area was 50 sq. meters that was the same si1ze we booked, 2) your reception refused to call senior staff to assist. 3) the room i booked included complimentary beverage but the upgraded room needed a charge, 4) the upgraded room - Lounge Access was a false and misleading statement. I was so delighted when I shared this information with my husband. I was so disappointed when you staff advised me that I need to pay to again access to the lounge.. 4) it would be embarrassing had I denied lounge access at the lounge door steps B) care less staff 1) i advised reception to have late check out on 28 April but the key was failed to open the door when I return with heavy objects at around 2 pm. I needed to take lift to lobby to rectify the key . However, the replaced key fail to open the door again and I need to go to reception again. It was a frustrated experience. 2) when your staff advised me that the key failure was due to improper locking of the door that made me frustrated.
Proposed Improvements
A) Critically review management system 1) the upgrade arrangement fails to attend details that required immediate attention 2) the communication between front line staff and management should be enhanced so that management could step in to assist. 3) arrange a standard practice to ensure the room key could entertain late check out B,) to include loyalty of members to access your esteemed lounge so that your esteemed hotel will be the first choices.

Arrived late 11 p.m, I kindly asked for any room upgrade. But before any response given by the receptionist I asked for the favor, another one rudely stopped her from saying anything to me and interrupted our talk with a wired look and asked if I was willing to pay for it.

The female manager is dangerous. She hacked into my IHG account and tried to change my address and phone number after I made a complaint about one of the waitress from the restaurant. The hotel WIFI did not allow to access gmail so I did not find out that after a week later. There were 2 confirmation emails sent to my gmail and stated that my address and phone were successfully updated, which I never did. These changed were made right after I made the complaint during my stay in this hotel. I called IHG immediately on 03/11/2025 and reported the fraud, and the representative told me that they could see the user ID who accessed my account and they would investigate it. Now I feel very insecure with my IHG account.

The third intercontinental hotel in Shenzhen with excellent service

Not long after the hotel opened, the lobby was tall and spacious. The front desk had a gentle and attractive appearance, and the dining and decoration were great. During breakfast, there was a special area for Diamond Card members, and the closing speed was fast. Overall, the service was very good
