The reception service was so bad that the receptionist cheated me that I have CNY125 voucher to eat in hotel restaurant. But it’s the fake one I cannot use!

Breakfast have the ihg member area but won’t allow diamond member siting there. Downstairs restaurant staff is so rude. Won’t allow people to take photos.location is not good.

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Hotel for a few days, and while the price was reasonable and the bed very comfortable, I had a few disappointing experiences. First, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, I was surprised to discover that I could hear my neighbor’s phone conversations clearly every day. This was the first time I experienced this in a high-end hotel. When I raised the issue with the staff, they kindly offered to change my room and even send a complimentary fruit platter. However, I was too tired to pack and move, so I didn’t take them up on it.
One other issue I encountered was related to housekeeping. I had a meeting in the afternoon, so I stayed in my room during the day and didn’t need it cleaned. At around 5 p.m., I called the front desk to request housekeeping after I left for my meeting, expecting to leave soon. When the staff member arrived, I told her I might leave closer to 6 p.m. and asked if she could come back then. She informed me that her shift ended at 5 p.m. I was left with no choice but to quickly change and go sit in the lobby for an hour, which made me quite uncomfortable.
I don’t typically write reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to prompt me to share my feedback. While the staff was polite and tried to accommodate, I expected a higher level of soundproofing and flexibility from a hotel of this caliber.

I had saved enough points for two reward nights at Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung, and wow, what a great way to spend them!
While special treatment isn't always guaranteed, Hotel Indigo Kaohsiung truly exceeded my expectations in hospitality and comfort, making our stay extremely memorable. From the free upgrade to a room with an amazing view and a bathtub, to the thoughtful welcome surprise for my partner’s birthday, it was all there, delivered with courtesy and warmth by the entire Front Office Team.
The location is perfect, right next to the MRT, an excellent base for exploring the city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.
