Disappointing Customer Support at Holiday Inn Golden Mile (HK)

Like the past 20 years, I had high hopes for my stay at Executive level of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile in Hong Kong, but unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a serious lack of customer support. Upon arrival, I misplaced my glasses somewhere in the hotel. I immediately informed the staff and asked for assistance in locating them. Over the course of two days, I followed up four times with different staff members at various levels, but each time, I was met with indifference and empty promises. Despite my persistence, no real effort seemed to be made to help me recover my lost item. To make matters worse, when I requested a simple letter for my insurance company to confirm that I had reported the loss at their property, they outright refused. This lack of basic courtesy and support was incredibly frustrating. What’s even more disappointing is that the hotel showed no willingness to take responsibility or offer any form of immediate or future compensation for the inconvenience caused, although I had to go to hospital with persisting headaches caused by wearing no glasses. It was clear they were unprepared to address guest concerns in a professional or empathetic manner.
A hotel of this standard and for the prices I paid, should prioritize guest concerns, especially when it comes to something as simple as lost-and-found assistance and basic documentation. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling completely disregarded as a guest. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend [Hotel Name] to anyone who values good customer service.

We had terrible experience as the room's bathroom smelled like puke. We reported a couple of times but they only send cleaner to put on air freshner to suppress the foul odor coming from the shower area. The exhaust fan is not working either. The staff didn't even offer to change a different room for us. Holiday inn express is definitely much better in terms of cleanliness compared to holiday inn golden mile.

Terribly disappointing experience and irresponsible service team

This hotel set up a metal parking cone in the wrong place, less than 20 centimeters away from the parking space, and the parking cone is located in the parking lane of the parking space to the parking lot exits, resulting in the guest rubbing the parking cone when leaving the parking lot. However, at the first time of the accident, none of the hotel staff cared about whether the guest was injured, and whether it was necessary to assist the guest in removing the parking cone, but rather the first time to call the traffic polic to divide the responsibility, clarify whether the guest needs to compensate the hotel for a traffic cone valued at less than RMB 100. Thereafter, the hotel service staff asked the guest to reverse the car so as not to affect the access of other vehicles, resulting in secondary injuries to the guest's vehicle. The most unacceptable thing is that after the guests complained about the hotel's service attitude, the only answer given to solve the problem was “we regret it”. Stay away from this hotel or you will only be humiliated if anything goes wrong.
