Always great to be back at this hotel which is like a home away from home. Staffs are always helpful. My only peeve this time was the constant daily reminder with a note under my door to clean my room at 10am. If I walked pass early in the morning, I would be asked when they can clean the room. It feels a bit pressured. Other than that, it's a great hotel in a great location.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. Loved it! Diamond status and lounge pass proactively recognised, staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean, lounge staff were exceptionally welcoming.
Visiting Chengdu, this hotel's location is superb. Walkable to 春熙路 and with many great dining options nearby. Driving was convenient too, although there's some traffic jam which is to be expected when you're this central in Chengdu.

Our stay at the hotel is incredible. We got upgraded to the park view room and it was SO spacious, exceeded my expectation. The breakfast was amazing, much more options than other Hol. Inn Express we have gone to. Staff was helpful and a cute welcome card for our anniversary makes our stay even better

I stay there a lot. In using the steam and sauna every time I come one or more things are out of order. On this trip EVEYTHING except the sauna was out of order. Please do better or I will have to stay somewhere else. Second I called room service before 7pm and was told the dish I wanted had sold out!
The front desk staff were really helpful especially the staff Susan Shu. She speaks English plus she was so friendly and helpful. I would ask her to translate all the places of interest into Chinese names that I could show to the taxi driver. All the staff at the front desk are fantastic and so helpful and friendly. Easy to grab a taxi in front of the hotel. Food stores behind hotel a five minute walk stay open till late. Great dumpling store run by a couple. Cheap and yummy.

A) we booked 1 King Classic and thanks for your upgrade to 1 King Classic Lounge Access. However, we were so disappointed when we made clarification with your reception staff. 1) the upgraded room floor area was 50 sq. meters that was the same that we booked, 2) your reception refused to call senior staff to assist. 3) the room i booked included complimentary beverage but the upgraded room needed a charge, 4) the upgraded room Lounge Access was a false and misleading statement. I was so delighted when I shared this information with my husband. I was so disappointed when you staff advised me that I need to pay to access to the lounge.. 4) it would be embarrassing had I denied lounge access at the lounge door steps B) care less staff 1) i advised reception to have late check out on 28 April but the key was failed to open the door when I return with heavy objects. I needed to take lift to lobby to rectify the key . However, the replaced key fail to open the door again and I need to go to reception again. It was a frustrated experience. 2) when your staff advised me that the key failure was due to improper locking of the door that made me frustrated.

Stayed in Hualuxe at a recent stay in Shanghai. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a nice inner courtyard. The hotel has several positives, but there are also some negatives that one cannot overlook.
Positives - the hotel is just next to the MRT station, and so getting around is really easy. The surrounding area of the hotel is quiet and enjoyable to walk around looking at the old mansions. The hotel room and bathroom is large and the bed is comfortable. The buffet breakfast has a good selection of local and western dishes and has an egg station which cooks eggs to your liking on demand - something I hardly find in other 5 stars hotel.
Negatives. If you are given a room facing the next building, be prepared for truck loading noises in the early morning. This was loud enough to wake us up. Secondly, the pillows are too soft to provide good neck support. Thirdly, the staff could be more friendly and proactive with guests, such as helping with the luggage or offering help for transport to the airport. Fourthly, the toiletries supplied could be more generous compared to the small bottles (especially when room is occupied by 2 guests). Lastly, the electronic light controls in the room takes some time to master.
