Pros: - Location near central Wuxi, next to a small park, near HSR station - TV is placed on console and can be easily setup to connect to own devices - Gym quite big and has a swimming pool - Staff was proactive to call to ask for area of improvements
Cons: - Food for both breakfast and evening happy hour is below average, vegetables over-cooked, no Wuxi local specialty food. Suggest to learn from other Crowne Plaza Hotels for example the one at Shanghai Hongqiao Station. - Not enough coffee machines and half of them were not working when the restaurants is crowded - When crowded, the staff at noodle bar was not able to handle the multiple orders, mixed up and gave my noodle to other guest - Housekeeping called my room when I put up the DND sign - Swimming pool and gym are too crowded - Change room is too cold and too small and does not have enough bench and seats for guests to change their clothes - Check in took quite long time

Expect better food variety and quality soon. Coffee Machines We've ordered more coffee machines and our maintenance team will do daily checks to avoid shortages and malfunctions during peak hours. Noodle Bar Our staff will get extra training, and we'll introduce an organized queuing and order - tracking system to prevent mix - ups. Housekeeping We've strengthened DND procedures. Housekeeping will double - check DND status before approaching rooms. Crowded Facilities We're implementing a reservation system for the pool and gym. In the short term, more benches and seats will be added to the change room. Check - in We've analyzed check - in procedures. Staff training is underway, and we're considering mobile check - in for faster service. We hope you'll give us another chance. The improvements will make your next stay better. My family : papa mama husband and two daughters and i all like to stay here. We love here We like the location that can walk to the lake and to Suzhou center to go for shopping and find some food there Anyway, we'll recommend to our friends.

In my IHG profile I select high floor and away from elevators because I am a light sleeper. When I checked in early evening I was given a high floor and I was eager to go out and explore Hong Kong as quickly as I could. When I returned to my room later that night I discovered my room was right next to the elevators which are running all night. I did not sleep at all because of this! I mentioned this to the management the next morning and they apologised for not looking at my profile and moved my room for my second night stay. I explained that it was their fault that I did not sleep and they should refund my stay (in points) as hotels have a policy to that effect. They would only give me 5000 points, it cost me 59000 for 2 nights stay. I think 5000 points compensation is unfair as it was their fault they put me next to the elevator and did not read up on my profile. I am a platinum elite member and expected to be treated better. I do not recommend this hotel and expect Holiday Inn hotels to be more professional.

Hotel was a little run down. Air conditioning was centralized, making the individual room aircond system redundant. This becomes a problem especially during cold night where the temperature was too hot and stuffy for my comfort, and switching it off makes the room too cold and unventilated. Opening the window did not help much. Carpet of the room was dirty due to the age, cracks on the wall of the room.
I booked a room for 3 person - double room with an additional bed. All information were clearly stated in my reservation confirmation mail which also includes the charges for the additional person. But this was somehow not made visible to the front desk during my check in and they wanted to charge me again for the 3rd person. And I had to open my laptop to show them the evidence before they concede.

Friendly staff; great service from Tiffany and Wing while checking in early. Tiffany gave us the breakfast coupons and allowed us to use them on the same day while Mr Wing stored our luggage’s while we ate breakfast.
