It's my 3rd time to stay in this new hotel. I know the entire staff and managemnt are still learning, I do felt the differences every time I came here. They do have some very good progress and improvement. However, if this hotel's target customer are the high-end group. They will need to do better job to improve the quality of the food and beverage services, the value of the breakfast. And the quality of the guest room experience. Especially the breakfast buffet, tried it twice already and I believe they can do much better than that. Even just some small adjustment can make this dining experience better. I spend at least 5 times annually visiting Chiayi for business trip, I would like to stay in this hotel again for sure and I really want this hotel to success as a member of IHG. Hopefully I can see the better progress of this hotel in the future.

Hot water system was down for almost half a day during a day of our stay, the reception was not aware that the system was down when I told them that there are no supply of hot water in my room. but they are nice enough to tell me that they will send someone to look into it.

A fine hotel close by metro line 11-10. Hotel is very clean and have a great staff. Good food - nice rooms and it is quiet. Good to stay for holiday or business.

I cannot say enough of good things about this hotel. Great location with great view, great food around the area, museum across the street, walking path along the river right outside the hotel. Fantastic views along the river on both sides in the evening.

Room: Comfortable room with excellent view of the sea.
Location: across the road is running track along the sea. Morning run allowed me to capture some stunning photos of the rising sun. Loved it. A bit far from subway station. Recommend a car. In the Xiamen JiMei area.
Breakfast: Excellent with great variety. One of the best.
Gym: Very good and comprehensive set of equipment.
Executive Lounge: Thanks for the excellent service. Although not a lot of variety of food but good enough for me.

More training required for staff in Chinese restaurant

Overall, our stay was excellent, but the dining experience at the Chinese restaurant left much to be desired. Service staff should be aware that not all overseas guests use the same apps as mainlanders. When I went to the restaurant to inquire about the special dinner for two, he showed me the menu on his phone. After deciding to try the special, he told us to order online, which was quite shocking. If I knew how to do that, I wouldn't have been there in the first place. Fortunately, another staff member told us it was okay to order directly.
The special menu for two included starters, mains, and dessert, but everything was served at once, which was quite surprising. Additionally, the staff didn't clear the dirty dishes until I requested it twice. In contrast, the staff at the daily breakfast service regularly collected used dishes without needing to be asked.
Looking back, I wished he insisted that I ordered online as the food wasn't that great. The curry shrimp was awful - the shrimp didn't feel fresh. We didn't eat that dish!
Apart from the negative experience in the Chinese restaurant, the other staff were all very helpful and friendly.

concierge were great and helpful, front desk ok but did not recognise me as ing member. lounge were great tho, room are spacious and special thank to housekeeper, she kept my room well and tidy everyday doing my stay even my pyjamas were fold neatly.
