Grand and Big are the words. But it had seen better days

Once you step foot into the hotel lobby, "big" and "grand" are likely to be the words you will use to describe this hotel.
But it must have seen better days.
The hotel is integrated with a huge in door water resort with wave pools under a big dome. I could imagine in its heydays it must have been THE place to bring your family for a vacation.
The aqua-park has ceased operations. The hotel is showing its age and is getting old and drappy.
I supposed unless you are attending a conference at the Global Centre, there is no strong reason to stay in this hotel. And even if you are attending a conference at the Global Centre, there is no need to stay here too.
A saving grace is perhaps the Chengdu SKP across the boulevard.
This is full of top end international brands. The SKP park with its unique water fall columns is a big draw for instragrammers.
But it must have seen better days.

Very close to Taichung Station, Taichung Park. An outlet market is placed in the same building. This is very convenient.
The room is clean. Many electric outlets are equipped.
I can refill drinking water at 3F at free of charge.
I liked the wide waiting zone in front of the lift door.
I can choose three type of noodles at the breakfast.

But, the lift speed is very slow. You need a surplus time to wait the lift.
The refrigerator is small room and has a bad smell... I only stowed water bottles.
