Complete Headache

I was in Lexington for a family member having a mass removed from his brain and this hotel was close to the hospital which I thought was wonderful. I booked the hotel for 3 nights and was told when I booked the room that if I didn’t need the room for the third night I could just tell them and I wouldn’t be charged for it. As soon as I checked in on the first night they went ahead and charged me for all the nights. I had a pending charge on my bank account before I could get to my room. It turned out I didn’t need the third night so when I was checking out they said they would refund the night. A few days pass and I do not see a pending credit to my account so I call the hotel. The desk clerk said it shows that it was refunded and may take a few days but told me that the general manager would contact me the next day. The next morning I received an email showing the refund but then a few hours later I look at my bank account and the hotel had taken another almost $300 out of my account and overdrafted my account. So I called the hotel once more. The desk clerk told me that the general manager was on the phone and would call me back. She did not call me back and I had to call her. In speaking with the GM she informed me that when the desk clerk was refunding my account, for the third night, that day (which should have been done days before) she refunded it three times and the almost $300 was just getting their money back. During all of this there was never once a credit to my account. I explained to the GM that they had overdrawn my account her reply was there is nothing I can do on my end. I’ve already issued the credit. I told her you still haven’t sent a credit after you added another almost $300 to my card. She said I’m sorry we had to fix our side. She then told me to contact my bank to see if they can fix it. My family member just had brain surgery and they didn’t care that they had taken all my money and overdrafted my account. I will never recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Mala atención en recepción

Mal serrvicio en la recepción, el check inn es a las 3pm. Y eran las 4pm. Y no nos entregaban la habitación, al consultar nos indican que ya estaba lista desde las 3, pero el joven que me atendió a las 3 me indicó que tenía que esperar y que me indicaría cuando ya pudiera ingresar y nunca me aviso y allí estuve esperando hasta las 4 pm

Bath had two 2x4 flex tape. Mildew or mold around shower curtain. Paint coming off walls, window glass was moldy and broken. (I have pics to prove it)

We was charged to parking in the garage and driving around 45 minutes trying to find a space to park was frustrating . The garage was so filthy, so watch you step.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express Mechanicsburg PA .
We are certain that you will relax in our comfortable accommodations, and enjoy our central location near the area’s many businesses and most popular attractions. We are conveniently located off of Route 581 and Interstate 81 . We are located 15 minutes from Carlisle and Harrisburg.
Which means you can get to the Carlisle Fairgrounds or Government Offices within minutes. We are located in the middle of Chain Restaurants like Buffalo Wild wings, Longhorn Steak House, Applebee’s and Olive Garden as well as Wegman's and shopping centers.

Elevator smelled breakfast horrible

The elevator smelled so bad. I noticed the smell in the hallway in the morning. Not as bad as the elevator. For breakfast I started with the pancakes. They were raw. I next tried an English muffin. It was stale but I still toasted it. Butter was rancid. Threw that away. The cranberry juice was watered down. The banana was good. The sausage was not even brown it was grey. I chose to not get. This was not my worst breakfast at a hotel but was close. This however was the worst at a holiday inn.

One of the better hotels

A room here is a bit pricey. Breakfast was served and mediocre. Check in is late for what you pay. Seems a systemic problem with hotels these days. Less and less for your money.

Worst Mattress Ever!

The folks that work here are friendly and the location is good but that can't make up for the lack of maintenance or the terrible mattress we had. We discussed trying to get another room but we were dog tired and it was only for one night. I won't make that mistake again. Our mattress had a crater in it that nobody would tolerate in a mattress at home. Absolutely inexcusable.
