Overall we had a horrible time at the Intercontinental Tahiti hotel overrun with day guests for first 3,days which led to not enough sun loungers around pool( only one pool open) no pool bar no pool servic. Lotus restaurant closed leaving only one restaurant open for lunch and dinner offering pizza burger

We enjoyed our stay but did find that the property was a bit dated. The over water bungalow was nice but can you can easily lock yourself out on the sundeck and have to call for somebody to go through your room to open the slider. It was disappointing that the Lotus restaurant was closed and hope that opening it is a priority. It was also a little disappointing that there was no bar service for the pool area. On a good note, the gym was nice and clean. The reception was always welcoming and the concierge desk personnel were very friendly. Upon returning, I would need to be in a bungalow that was a little more updated considering the cost but all and all, enjoyed our stay.

I was travelling alone and chose Wellington's Intercontinental because of its central location and the Club lounge were as usual I meet some interesting people and had the relaxing time out the lounge provides.
Breakfast in the lounge was great as it is peaceful and not rushed.
I was impressed with the quality of the lounge's cuisine.
