I recently stayed at the InterContinental Auckland and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean, though I did find the standard rooms to be on the smaller side. For a more comfortable stay, I would definitely recommend booking a Junior Suite or higher.
The facilities at the hotel are impressive, and I particularly appreciated the 24-hour access to the gym—definitely a plus for fitness enthusiasts!
One of the standout features of my stay was the Club InterContinental Lounge. The food offerings were great, and I especially enjoyed the strawberries when they were available. The lounge staff were delightful; Tillman and Susan were always polite and professional, making my time there enjoyable. Rita and Lushi were also very kind and helpful, adding to the positive atmosphere.
I want to give a special commendation to Xander for his excellent customer service over the phone—he is truly an asset to your team. Additionally, Lana at reception is one of the best Guest Service Agents I have ever encountered; her warmth and efficiency made a lasting impression.
However, there were a few service hiccups during my stay, particularly with getting some issues in my room fixed. One request was forgotten, and there were times when the phones didn’t get answered. While these could have been isolated incidents, they were noticeable nonetheless.
Despite these minor setbacks, my overall experience was excellent, and I’m looking forward to my next stay, which happens to be next week! I hope for an even better experience and am excited to see what the InterContinental Auckland has in store for me next time.
