I never believe in writing a bad review unless I write a good review also. My last stay at this hotel was amazing. The room was excellent, the staff went above and beyond and the food in the dining was exquisite.
Unfortunately, this visit was less than stellar. We checked in the room and noticed it quite cold so we raised the thermostat and went out to explore Bangkok. When we got back 5 hours later we found the room VERY cold so I called down to the front desk. After a long wait, someone finally came up and proceeded to climb a ladder into the ceiling and start vacuuming while we were in the room. He worked for a time and then told me it was fixed and warming up. After over an hour the room was as cold if not colder. I called the front desk again and was told we should have waited longer for it to warm up. I complained heavily that we were freezing in the room. I was offered no compensation for the aggravation but they did finally move us to another room. This was a waste of a day and a lot of irritation that I didn't expect from the quality I should have had at this hotel.

Our first room had a problem with bugs, sugar ants. They moved our room the next day. The new room was older and needed to be updated. That night, the fire alarm went off because of someone smoking in the room. The alarm was so loud in the room, my ears were ringing for hours afterwards. The breakfast was cold and mediocre at best. Not a very good hotel to stay at. They didn't even offer any discounts or free nights for all of the inconveniences we encountered.

Dirty Room

We've stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience, so when it came time to book another trip, we were excited to stay again. We arrived late in the evening to a very unfriendly front desk host named Sam. Before we walked it, we were warned by other people in our party that arrived before us about his demeanor. I wasn't overly concerned, it had been a long day, and we just needed to get to sleep. We got through a less than friendly check in and arrived at our hotel room only to find it was filthy. I panicked initially thinking we may have just walked in on someone! Once I realized it just hadn't been cleaned, I told my husband and kids I would go request another room quickly so we could get to bed. We only had one day in the city, so we were really looking forward to a good night's sleep, especially for the younger kids.
I went down, waited at the front desk for Sam to come out and told him our room hadn't been cleaned. He asked me what I meant. I said it was filthy and hadn't been cleaned. To which he responded, annoyed, that he wanted pictures. So, I called my husband to take pictures and asked for another room. He said there were no more rooms, and he would refund us, and we can find somewhere else to stay. I told him I don't even know where to look for another hotel that late at night, we had already unloaded, and the kids were exhausted. He showed me his computer screen at one point that they had overbooked by 3 rooms that night and that other people are coming and won't even get a room (the hotel should at least help them find something, but it didn't sound like he was going to help them either. I hope I'm wrong!) He told us if we wanted to stay, we would need to clean it ourselves. At this point we were exhausted and out of options, so we spent the next hour running up and down to grab random cleaning supplies, vacuums and bedding. The other guests were absolutely floored at the situation. We took out food, trash, dirty diapers, etc ... there were times he wasn't even at the desk when we would come down.
Upon leaving the next morning, we overheard other guests complaining about the same man. We were told by a very sweet lady the next morning we could contact the manager directly to get this sorted out. So, we did immediately, via email and phone, but so far, no response to anyone who reached out to him (other people in our party had separate complaints). I didn't want to leave a bad review. We've always had good experiences. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be back to this hotel.

Rude Staff/Poor location

This is a very disorganized hotel. Boxes were laying around the lobby. Some of the hotel staff were kind, but the majority were rude/disinterested at any questions asked. Trying to order a hamburger was similar to building a rocket ship. Room had some debris on the floor, and felt stuffy on entry. Location isn't good for food/entertainment.

Beautiful Modern Hotel ideally located between San Francisco and the North Gate entrance to Yosemite
Enjoy easy access on and off Highway 99 from our convenient location.
Blue Diamond, Kaiser Permanente, Seneca Foods, Save Mart, PG & E, Silgan Container, Frito Lay, Foster Farms are a short drive from the hotel. SJVC, Brandman University, University of Phoenix, Brightwood College, Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts, Modesto Junior College, Herald College, and Kaplan are a few miles away. Sutter Health Memorial Medical Center and Doctors Medical Center are five minutes away. We are 90 minutes from three international airports OAK, SFO, and SMF . We offer free parking and Road Warriors can keep up exercise routines with our on-site Fitness Center.
Boomers! Family Fun Center is directly across the street. Bel Passi, Riverbank, Rainbow Fields, Mistlin, and Costa Fields, YMSA-AJAX, Big League Dreams are the nearby Sports Complexes. Room was small for HIE but was clean and bed was comfortable, USB ports were worn/loose, front desk attendant was not overly welcoming. Breakfast, a benchmark for HIE properties in my opinion was lackluster. Pancake machine was broken...mechanical issues happen, but indicative of overall experience. Food was (maybe) room temperature, plastic utensils were very poor quality...hard to cut sausage with a fork and knife that bend with small amount of pressure....bagel was stale, juice selection was minimal, overall small quantities of everything...looked like a store going out of business, breakfast attendants/staff seemed like they didn't want to be there.

The hotel is located five blocks from Tropicana Field, home to the Tampa Bay Rays
Situated near the downtown waterfront district where you will find the world-renowned Dali Museum, Mahaffey Theater, Chihuly Collection, and The Morean Arts Center and Jannus Live. Downtown boasts a vibrant arts community, amazing local dining, unique shops and Al Lang Field-home to the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
We are the perfect home base while visiting Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, Bayfront/Orlando Health Medical Center, St. Anthony's Hospital, The Poynter Institute, Duke Energy, Honeywell, Ceridian, Jabil, University of South Florida, St. Pete College (SPC) and Eckerd College.

Nice but needs some work

The first thing I noticed trying to park was a lot of the spaces were very tight and hard to fit into. The staff when checking in was friendly. The were doors that the key cards did not open ever. The hotel seemed dated with a lot of damages throughout rooms and halls. The stairwell on one side of the building smelled like animals have been using the bathroom and was soaking into the carpet with a smell that made me want to throw up. They need to replace that carpet! The staff for the rest of the stay was not respectful as they usually are. No eye contact or engagement with questions and issues being brought to their attention. The only staff member that was great was a lady working the social hour serving drinks. The breakfast was by far one of the worst breakfast I’ve ever had at a stay bridge. Everyday the food was WAY over cooked and had no taste. The juices were made up of a small amount of juice and mostly water. The food at social hour was a lot better. The issue that made this stay the worst was the PARKING. The parking was so ridiculous! The spaces were tight and VERY limited! I spent every night for long periods of time trying to find a parking spot. They should of done better with making more parking spots. I will never stay at this location again due to this issue alone. I have stayed at a lot of the staybridges and I can say this one is the worst by far. Needs updates and cleaning alone with finding more spots for parking.
