Ruined birthday trip, outdated and understaffed property!

As expressed earlier I tried addressing the long wait times and inability to get anyone on the front desk via phone. The phone was ringing while I was being helped I said how many times I called he just motioned to the currently ringing phone, I said do you want to get that? The guy said no, I told staff about the mold in the bathrooms, leaks, and stains on furniture

Nice place but fix the window shade

I stayed at the Chesire Southington Holiday Inn recently while attending a family funeral in Connecticut.
For the most part the hotel was comfortable. The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was excellent. I was pleased at the light supper and snack options as well.
My room was comfortable and clean but had one major problem. My second-floor room had no black out shade and an extremely bright klieg light bright parking lot lamp post shone directly into my room. All that was covering my window was a gossamer thin translucent roll down curtain without a night shade. My other family members were in second floor rooms with proper black out shades so they had no issues.
However, in my room sleep was extremely difficult. I assumed the parking lot light would turn off at some point in the night but I was wrong. Consequently, when I woke up to use the bathroom it was very difficult to fall asleep again since it was so bright in the room.
This really needs to be fixed. Room 213.

Difficult to sleep with noisy in-effective Heating/AC unit

Heating AC unit is clearly in need of update, extremely noisy when it runs, similar to jet engine and almost impossible to set a temperature due to very ineffective turn knobs/dials with digital thermostat. The room should not be used until this unit is replaced or updated/repaired. Other than that, nice property, but certainly not nice when travelling and just need some sleep for the night.

Terrible hotel and dirty

We arrived for check-in around 4:15 PM. There was eight other people waiting only one person working the counter while the manager continued to walk back-and-forth asking the staff if he was OK after 35 minutes of waiting to get into our room the room stunk like stale booze, and cigarettes. We found the shower railings have been ripped off and holes in the tiles. We called down to the desk and there was no answer. The paint in the bathrooms was peeling and bubbling as well. We were running running late for our event at this time so we needed to leave. We stopped at the front desk and there was nobody Around. There were three people waiting to check in over all. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at the pullout couch had a small piece of foam on it no mattress and wasn’t set up to sleep on. We found this out after getting back from our event when you called down to the front desk, they said sorry and they could have somebody come make the bed for us in the next 40 minutes no one ever showed up.

Our centrally located all-suite hotel is perfect for the business and leisure traveler. We are located next door to the Knicely Conference Center and WKU's South Campus, and conveniently located near The Medical Center of Bowling Green, Greenview Regional Hospital, Graves Gilbert Clinic, and many other medical facilities.

Not up to expectations

We've stayed at other Staybridge's and this didn't meet our expectations. The furniture (couch and chairs) was very worn. Water was in the bottom of the refrigerator. Maintenance came and supposedly fixed it, but water was in the bottom again the next morning. The cooking skillet and plates were dirty. My wife cleaned them. Took the skillet to front desk and they exchanged it with a new one. Breakfast was good.

The lady that checked us in was very nice. The bathroom floor appeared to be dirty but I was thinking maybe it was just old. I took a wet washcloth and wiped the floor and it was filthy. The morning we were leaving my husband saw a roach.
