Our Holiday Inn Express and Suites Jacksonville South I-295 Hotel is centrally located near St. John's river is a refreshing stop on your trip through northern Florida. Located just south of downtown Jacksonville and near Naval Air Station Jacksonville and Historic St. Augustine .
Cheer for the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field just 15 minutes away from the hotel, also the home to the “Nations largest cocktail party” Florida – Georgia rival football classic and the Gator Bowl. Play Golf like the pros at the home of the players championship TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach which is also located 15 minutes away. Other area attractions located within a short drive of the hotel include Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine Beach, Jacksonville Zoo and Museum of Science and History . Let me start off saying we always try to stay on an IHG property. This by far was the worst place we have ever stayed. The staff was very courteous and accommodating, and the room appeared fresh and clean.
After we returned from dinner, we got ready for bed and when I laid down, I got a “whiff” of this terrible odor. I tried to determine where it was coming from. It wasn’t the comforter, sheets, mattress or mattress pad, but then I sniffed closer to the carpet area. It wreaked the smell of pet urine and that’s when I noticed the carpet was soiled.
I notified the front desk and he confirmed there were no other rooms available for the night and there was really nothing he could do. I asked for Febreeze. He wasn’t sure if they had any available and he would call me back to let me know. Five minutes later he called me back and told me he had found some, and to come to the front desk to get it.
It made matters worse for several hours, because the febreeze seemed to enhance to odor instead of eliminating it. After several treatment sorayst during the night, I finally placed two towels over the soiled area and it created a barrier from the odor.
The front desk was very accommodating the following morning and had documented my concerns during our stay.
Lesson learned….do not stay in pet friendly hotels!

The entire staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast selection was typical of HIE, the area was kept clean and well stocked.
However, this is an older property and needs some updating. The bed frame was loose and squeaked every time someone moved.
There is a train track located behind the property and a train runs 3 times from around 10 PM until 8 AM.
The people in the room above us were heavy walkers and we heard every step.
Would we recommend this property? No

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Bonifay is conveniently located right off of Interstate I10, on exit 112 in the Panhandle of Florida. This centrally located hotel is the only major hotel in Bonifay, FL and only 44 miles from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport.
We are located only 40 Miles South of Dothan, AL and 50 Miles North of Panama City, FL. Bonifay is the home of different ecological tourism spots and near many major attractions.

My wife and I were traveling from Augusta,GA to Destin, FL and decided to stay over night in Bonifay, FL.
The staff at the front desk were very pleasant during the checking in and checking out process. The room was very spacious clean and the bed was very comfortable
There were many options served for breakfast the following morning and the breakfast staff were attentive in keeping the area clean and containers filled.
I would definitely recommend this HIE to anyone passing through Bonifay.

We generally always look for a IHG property. We decided to leave a day early for our planned trip, and I chose IHG Atlanta-Kennesaw without reading any of the reviews. It was only for one night and it was a good rate and breakfast was included. The front desk clerk was very nice when we checked in. Listed below are the issues we were confronted with during our 12 hour stay.
1) The bathroom was very dirty. The walls and ceiling had been plastered so much that it was cracking and falling off the ceiling. There was dirt in the corners and a dirty towel from a previous guest was hanging on the back of the door.
2) The carpet was worn and soiled.
3)There were holes in the sheets.
4) The mattress was worn out, and my wife and I gravitated to middle of the bed.
4) Not the hotels fault, but it is very close to the interstate and it was VERY noisy.
5) At breakfast, there were no forks available and the pancake machine wasn’t working. The serving area was unkept,
6)To sum it up, this property is very tired. Paint, caulk, plaster and spackling is no longer the proper fix. Also, it’s obvious that many corners have been cut to properly repair things on the property.
