Disappointing Policy

While the accommodations were comfortable, I was genuinely disappointed by their policy of charging an extra fee just to receive a package on my behalf.
At this level of hotel, one would assume that basic conveniences—especially something as simple as handling a small delivery—would be included. Instead, this nickel-and-diming approach cheapens the entire experience.

Left daily messages for a left behind Nintendo Switch - no response

I stayed from March 24-29th and left my $400 portable game unit in Room 435 in the nightstand. I have left messages every day at the front desk for them to check "lost and found", the room cleaning staff, or even the room itself. No one calls me back. I have filed a police report, but I doubt that will do anything. I realize it was my fault for leaving it, but there should be a better way to find out if it was turned in, or if it is still in the room. It's not like its a $12 phone charger, its an expensive piece of gaming equipment that is equal to the additional night stay I had to take.

Not happy with anything

Got to hotel check in unloaded everything went to room not what I booked my wife is in wheelchair not a handicap roll in shower went back down they said don't have one but shows I needed one very unprofessional staff went to another ihg hotel save thing happened after front desk person said it was king bed and roll in shower end up staying at a non ihg hotel that had king bed handicap roll in shower was great room and staff was very professional breakfast was great clean room

Very Poor IHG Hotel

The lounge was not open which was disappointing. This happened in Sheffield but the staff at least went to the effort of providing us with a “lounge basket and a bar voucher” which was good customer service. That did not happen here.
We were given an adjoining room and the people next door were very noisy which disturbed our sleep. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky at every movement, housekeeping could easily tighten the frame up.
All in all a very disappointing stay!!

Do Not Do It…!!!

I should have read the reviews before staying here, I had all the same problems, I have been trying for 2 weeks since we left to resolve the issues and when I asked the general manager for help with why my card was charged again a week after I left for nearly 1700.00 she responded to my text telling me to “respect her time she is out of the office” guess my time for the last 2 weeks basically begging for a return call doesn’t warrant respect!!! Choose another location pay double if you have to this place is a joke from start to finish and the manager doesn’t have any desire to listen or help!!!
It is NOT smoke free as advertised!!!
Bathroom has ZERO privacy!!!
They keep your credit card information and transact more after you leave with no explanation!!!!
We had to use the lobby bathroom for privacy since they would not fix the door!!!
They bombard you with texts through out your stay about how things are going but once you tell them how they can help they won’t even return your call!!! Oh and of course stop asking…
Corporate customer service was amazing however not even they could get the manager to care about my concerns!!!
I love IHG hotels and have never had an issue but this 6 night stay will have me questioning ever staying at one again.
The poor front desk tries they just never have any manager support and that came directly from one of the sweet employees!!!

Horrible place to stay

The sales rep took it upon herself to change my room option without confirming. They sold my room station someone else and moved me out of my reserved room. Customer services is a joke. They will not help to fix the issue. They said the hotel has responded and contacted me. They are a bunch of liars and no one wants to take responsibility for the screw up. If you reserve a room then they will give u whatever they want a sell out your room to someone else. They were a full capacity and only had 1 elevator working. The lobby was
filthy. The manager is worthless and will only blame everyone else and say he can’t help. What a great manager! Will never stay at another Holiday inn or IHG hotel ever again.

Underwhelming stay

I recently booked Ambassador nights to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and while we were looking forward to a special and comfortable stay, the experience fell somewhat short of expectations.
Upon arriving at the room, we noticed there were no chairs at the table, despite the room being booked for three guests. We had planned to enjoy room service together, but unfortunately, with only a single desk chair available, this wasn’t possible.
We raised the issue with staff on the first night and were told it would be followed up. However, what truly impacted the experience was the interaction the following morning at the front desk. When I inquired again about the chairs—specifically requesting two, as there were three of us—I was told, “We don’t normally order chairs.” While the staff member eventually said they would follow up, the response felt dismissive and left us feeling overlooked during what was meant to be a celebratory stay.
While I understand this may seem like a small detail, it did hinder the overall experience, especially given the nature of our trip. I hope you’ll take this feedback into consideration as part of your commitment to guest satisfaction

Unsafe

overall not a very clean hotel. stairwell (emergency exit) has multiple penetrations (openings), doors leading to different hallway floors not closing completely. if the hotel has a fire the fire can move throughout the stairwell which is should be used instead of elevators. in most States these are serious Fire violations and very unsafe for guests.

Want to start off with our friends lisense plate was stolen 30 mins after check in! In day light!
While my daughter was in shower, I had to go get towels because they didn't leave but 2 towels. The phone does NOT work if there is issues. The toliet ran the whole time. Had to go back downstairs to tell them the tv wouldn't come back on. The room curtain didn't go up n down correctly, so it was stressful worrying about the kids trying lift it up to look outside. The room smelled like sewer or Sulphur? Just awful! You pay about 30 per night for parking. My advice, stay somewhere else! Just an awful stressful unnecessary stay. Will nvr stay again.
