We tried for over a month between phone calls and emails to get a block of rooms and we were unable in the end to secure a block of rooms. We eventually talked to someone who said they would give us a hospitality room for a group event for free due to the issues with getting a block of rooms. When it came time to book the hopsitality room, we once again had issues getting any communication from the person we were talking too. We ended up reaching out to directly to IHG to get any response from the hotel. We were also told originally that we could do our own pot luck, but then when it came time to book the room, they told us we couldn't do that anymore? I decided to book an extra night. When I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have anything showing I had 2 nights booked, even though I had a confirmation email. After 20+ min, they ended up having to cancel by reservation and making a new one for both nights. The original 2 nights got put under different reservations and different rooms, so we would of had to switch rooms each night. We had another family from our group do the same thing and they also had issues with check in, took them about 40 min to check in and the hotel manager had to get involved, not sure what the whole story was there. The hotel itself was amazing, with tons for the kids to do. Overall we would try to stay there again, but if we have the same issues, we won't try as hard the next time to stay there and will just go somewhere else.
