Holiday Inn® Lancaster hotel is just off the M6, with easy access to the Lake District. The shops and attractions of Lancaster are a 10-minute drive away. Alternatively, leave the car in the hotel's free car park and catch a bus to the town centre from the stop outside the hotel. Lancaster Station is served by direct trains to Manchester. Blackpool Airport (BLK) is 40 minutes' drive from the hotel.
The hotel is just 20 minutes' drive from the scenic Lake District National Park. A 10-minute drive from the hotel, the 12th-century Lancaster Castle is surrounded by parkland. Nearby, the riverside Lancaster Maritime Museum occupies a former warehouse. Morecambe Bay, 20 minutes' drive from the hotel, offers coastal walks and seafront cafés. Lancaster University is easily accessible and only a 15 minutes' drive from the hotel.
Business guests are 20 minutes' drive from Heysham Power Station. At the hotel, you can host meetings for up to 100 people in seven flexible conference rooms with AV equipment and free WiFi.
In the relaxed restaurant, start your day with a buffet breakfast, or enjoy an evening meal with family or colleagues. Poor hotel

Stayed here on way home from Scotland
On arrival first thing you see is bins at front of hotel over flowing. Then when you get closer to hotel side window has been bored ip. Didnt get acknowledgement of being ihg diamond elit member. Put on 3rd floor. No lift working and wont be for some time. When pulled out sofa bed to use it had a childs wite blouse in it. Clearly not been cleaned. The tv didnt work it was pixels. Went for a drink and as a nice day decided to sit outside at the back and found yet more bins over flowing. Also suprised to see a childs play area nxt to area where you take glasses out. I would have thought health and safety surely plastic should only be allowed outside
The next morning at breakfast the same glssses were still outside on the table. Shocking
We went to use the leisure facilities to find no staff there and a message saying no towels use ones from pur room
We went back later instead to find the hotel nor leisure centre had had a delivery which meant our towels in room would be wet if we used them and needed in the morning
Also didn't see amy signs saying pool closes 8.30 as all we saw was
Notices saying last entry 1hr prior to close
Hadn't been in ong saw 30 mins and we had to get out. Disappointing
Breakfast layout was nice and plenty of choice however to try and use the small tables in. The bar for breakfast overflow was crazy as small tables. Certainly not suitable for 4 people. The bar atea is a small bar
On departure wasnt even asked if everything was OK with stay extremely disappointed.

This property has a nice lobby, dut the rooms are disgusting. Had it not been so late when I arrived I would have left for a different hotel. The first room had a water damaged and crumbling cieling and what looked like bullet holes in the tub. The second room was slightly better but had loud traffic noise and a draft due to large gaps in the window seals. Both rooms were filthy by any standard. The only thing that appeared to be clean were the sheets. We weren't going to sit on the couch or desk chair due to disgusting looking stains.

Poor design and rooms too small

Disappointing service and room has a Murphy bed which was a total disaster. Absolutely no room to walk around the bed when it’s down and the bed is way too small. Can’t teach anything beside the bed. Constantly fighting the bathroom door closer that slams shut. Avoid this property at all cost!

Not a great experience

The staff was always very distracted either watching videos on their phone or visiting with personal guests in the bar area. Then, they ran the wrong card to pay for my room at checkout, which caused 2 bank fees to be incurred. When I called to speak to someone, they said the manager had left for the day (at 4pm) and they could not help me. I would have to call back when the manager returned on Monday. Just bad customer service and not attentive at a higher end IHG property.

One of the better options in Farmville

No fault to the manager and staff but their key carding was unavailable so no room keys. The staff had to let us into our room every time we left the property. I booked the hotel for the pool and was not told nor the website mention the pool was unavailable. We were a little disappointed. It is one of the few hotels in the area that i would recommend despite this isolated issue. Except foe the pool.

Mayo Clinic stay

This has been our choice hotel to stay at when we have medical visits at Mayo Clinic. We have stayed here since they first built. Our recent visit the nighttime staff was not friendly upon arrival. Staff need more training on how to treat customers. Beds were very comfortable and room amenities were great.

Great location but not worth the money

Hotel is in a great location next to trails. The staff was ok, not very friendly. The hotel is very dated and looks very worn out. Door handles did not work well, very thin blankets on the bed so we had to crank up the heat. There are other choices in the area to stay at.

Needs maintenance

We have stayed at this hotel 2 prior times while driving to and or from Florida home.
This time I used my IHG points to decrease cost- what a waste.
Room was clean but carpet ripped, toilet seat loose and poorly caulked, and 2 of 3 ice machines along with water fountain out of order.

Hotel Seemed Unprepared and Overwhelmed

Was moved into a room with king sofa sleeper and bed rather than two queen standards. The sofa sleeper was uncomfortable and has led to having a sore back for nearly a week.
Needed two keys for my room and the hotel only had one key available.
Upon getting to the room noticed there were not pillows or sheets for the sofa sleeper. Front desk told me they could not get those to my room, as they had too much going on in the lobby. They eventually did after understanding I had small children in the room I could not leave.
