As platinum member my status was well recognized and due to China Labor day long holidays, all rooms were fully booked but I was given the opportunity to enjoy the lounge facilities to made my stay with hotel with great satisfaction! The management had shown their exceptional care and attention to IHG premium members!

Also easy access to the Railway Station, Xinzheng International Airport, Henan International Exhibition Center. The UNESCO world heritage listed sites including the famous Shaolin Temple, the Longmen Grottoes, and the atmospheric Yellower River Area etc., are close to the city.

Compared to other hotel In the area this hotel was the best. The staff was friendly and the rooms were so nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet had so many choices.

Staff are poorly trained and not up to standard for an Intercontinental…..more like staff you expect at a holiday inn express. I arrived at 14:30 and ask whether I could have my room ready at 3pm, if so I would just wait at the lobby. The staff gave me a blank face and said she didn’t know. I had to call another staff and asked the question again. She took a while. I went back again at 14:55 and finally got an answer that it will take a bit more time and he took us to the tea lounge to have free drinks and wait.

While we’re glad our team eventually offered refreshments at the tea lounge, we recognize this gesture should never be a substitute for efficient and confident service from the outset.
