Nice hotel, but awful customer service after major service failure

I have been an IHG member for years and regularly choose Holiday Inn hotels. Again, I chose Holiday Inn for a one night stay before flying out of Grand Rapids early the next morning because they have a service to take you to the airport and let you park your car at the hotel (never again, keep reading).
As usual, the hotel room was great. The first lady that checked me in took great care of me. She told me someone would be there at 4 AM to take us to the airport. At 4 AM, no one showed up. The front lady tried to help, but she looked panicked. There was no one responding. So, we had to drive our car to the airport (we ended up taking another lady who was also stuck without transportation) which meant I now had to pay for the hotel and parking at the airport.
So, I think, "I am sure Holiday Inn will comp me the cost of my room. That would be fair. I am a loyal customer and the cost of the parking would almost equal the cost of the room." But I was wrong. Today, I spoke to Oliver. He was dismissive, rude, and lacked compassion. I explained the situation and he responded with a curt & quick, "There is nothing we can do." I asked for a manager. From here, he continued to have a harsh attitude and defensiveness.
After talking to him, I ended up calling the company that provides the service and they were way more sensitive and understanding, but there was nothing they could do. I should not have had to chase other people down, but that was the only option Oliver gave me. If Oliver and Holiday Inn took responsibility for a promised service that was included with the room, they should have simply apologized for the major inconvenience and cost and reimbursed the cost of the one night at the hotel. I am extremely disappointed and will never go back to this hotel.
Please do not use this hotel for that service. If this is resolved by IHG or Holiday Inn, I will happily revise this review.

Eww no the bugs are crazy

Room 323 has an infestation in the vestibule and bathroom after a shower its roaches galore. Medium roaches in the vestibule of the room both dead and alive. You kill one here comes 5 more running out. After a shower you are sure to see many baby roaches running rampant across the floor and even in the shower. All against the wall and hiding behind the toilet. They only came out at night which is weird. Otherwise this place was great but I was very uncomfortable during my stay fighting for my life in the bathroom at night against the roaches.
Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff was kind! Please fix the infestation issue

Very outdated and dirty

Stayed for a couple of days with my family. Hotel was very outdated and dirty. Bathtub had hairs and stains from previous guests. Front desk was very nice and helpful but this hotel needs a renovation asap.

On two separate visits to this property, no one was at the front desk upon check-in. Wait for over twenty (20) minutes for someone to appear. By this time there was eight (8) other guests lined up behind me waiting to check in. Ridiculous...

Overrated and Lacking Quality and Comfort

Outside noise filtered in the room from inside and outside the hotel. Room was basic and had paper cups which seemed very low class. Was expected more for the cost of the room. Definitely not a high class hotel. Must be living on its location because there was nothing else about the room that was upscale or even comfortable.

The Holiday Inn Allentown-Bethlehem, is a clean, safe property located minutes from the area's healthcare facilities. We are located five minutes from Lehigh Valley Health Network-Cedar Crest and 10 minutes from St. Luke's Hospital-Allentown Campus.
In town with your star pupil? Few hotels in Allentown, PA can offer such short driving to Muhlenberg, Moravian, or Cedar Crest Colleges.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Baton Rouge East. Our hotel is located off Siegen Lane near I-10. We are the center for much of what makes south Louisiana truly unique and wonderful.
Our area is home to some of the South’s most interesting and informative tourist attractions including The State Capital, The USS Kidd, Tiger Stadium, Blue Bayou, Raising Canes River Center, Top Golf and local industries. There are many restaurants to choose from in our area offering Louisiana cuisine.
All of our newly renovated spacious rooms include a microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker.

Breakfast Sucks

The breakfast had cinnamon rolls as hard as rocks. The eggs were cold and the potatoes tasted like fish. The breakfast host was ill and sounded like she was throwing up behind the doors. I felt sorry for her.
The checkin host was awesome, very kind and helpful.

Loud

This was our first day at this location. Upon arrival that evening, we noticed that we could hear guest and other rooms. We noticed that it was unusually loud. It did quiet down the later in the night it got. However, the next morning starting at 5:30 AM door, slamming people running up and down the hallways. So if you want to sleep past 5:30am this is not the location to do so. Also, the elevator was absolutely freezing. Still safe and mostly comfortable.
