Bed was terrible

The hotel is in bad shape. Pool was closed weight room missing most of the weights the bed was the worst I've ever slept on it needed to be replaced 10 years ago. The bathroom door knob came off. Shower was horrible how, much does a decent showerhead cost? In my opinion it does not deserve a Holiday Inn label. The daytime staff was very nice and the hotel was conveniently located.

Friendly front desk staff

When we arrived at this hotel we were greeted with a very friendly front desk gal. Unfortunately that is the only positive for this hotel, along with the breakfast that was served. It was very good, although there is a fee for breakfast. The rooms are in poor condition. When I walked in to the room it appeared to have pet urine spots on the carpet. They charge $60.00 for their pet fee, which I find to be ridiculous. It seems they would take that fee and clean the carpet!

Apart from lounge staff poor & in need of updating

We arrived at around 1.15am & found the doors locked. We had emailed (twice because we had no response the first time) to say we would be arriving late but we were not told the doors would be locked & no instructions were given on how to access in the early morning after a tiring 20 hour flight. Luckily a guest having a smoke outside used his key card to let us in. The receptionist then told us as Platinum Ambassador we had been upgraded & given lounge access - I had booked a room with lounge access so no, we were already paying for that! The room was bigger but, like most of the hotel, dingy & in need of updating. Still the bed was comfortable & we weren’t in there during the day so it was ok. Although, on the first night the air con was very noisy, however that was, to their credit, rectified next day after reporting it.
The receptionist also asked if we wanted welcome points or a drink voucher. Points were chosen but after we’d left I noticed they had not credited & had to go through IHG chat to get them credited.
The lounge was ok, not the best but the staff were friendly & breakfast was fine in there. Evening canapés etc never varied & were boring.
On leaving we asked for a bill by email. The email address was checked but no bill materialised, so had to chase. Then the ‘Pending Points’ in the app changed, incorrectly to ‘Non Qualifying Stay’! It is a qualifying stay booked directly via the app & paid by me!
4 emails later, including one marked for the attention of the GM Karl Marshall, and this (apart from a copy of the bill) has not been resolved. Respondents seem to be good on apologies but not on actually addressing the points raised in the emails and rectifying problems. It seems they have customer facing front desk staff who have no idea what they are doing & make no attempt to rectify issues promptly. Bad reviews are something I do not make a habit of but, this is not the standard expected with Intercontinental & it is not a standard of service experienced with them before!

Disappointed in the hotel as the elevator was not working. The hotel staff were aware several days prior to our arrival, and did not notify us until the morning of our arrival. This made it difficult to find other accommodations for our team. Lady bugs in the room everywhere, brown water from the faucets in the tub, shower and the sink. I had to sanitize the bathroom as it was not clean.

Holiday Inn Express Springdale - Zion Natl Pk Area
Welcome to your Holiday Inn Express in Springdale! With our stunning views and well-groomed lawns, enjoy relaxing by our seasonal pool, soaking in our year-round hot tub, or just taking in the star-filled skies at our wonderful outdoor fire pits. This Hotel has a lodge-like feel to compliment the towering red rock cliffs that surround us. Did we mention the views?
Our beautiful hotel is located 1.2 miles from the South entrance to Zion National Park. For a quick get around, we are just a few yards away from a free shuttle that will pick you up and take you to the South Entrance of the Park. You can either ride the shuttle or walk to numerous spots throughout the town of Springdale, making it a great way to access all of the wonderful shopping and eating spots!

I booked Springdale Holiday Inn Express through a 3rd party in early Dec 2024. Arriving in Springdale I drove up and down the street - 4 times - looking for the Holiday Inn. No such thing. There is a motel under renovation called the Springdale Zion Inn - big sign. Follow your instincts and they will lead you to a trailer with a sign 'Lobby Check in'. Welcome to the Holiday Inn in transition. No lobby, no pool, breakfast in a bag. Yet it still appears on the IHG website as a Holiday Inn with all amenities in place. This renovation was in late planning or well underway when I booked but nothing on the website indicated that only a handful of rooms were being kept open during the transition. And this is no oversight; read the reviews of Jan-Feb...and yet IHG continues to operate this property in this manner. Last comment: your rating for this location is based on its existence as a Holiday Inn. How can you use those ratings for a new property that isn't open? If you buy an article of clothing from a company and get sent a garment with a different label and of poorer quality, isn't that fraud? IHG: in your reply please save the canned expression of concern. You are knowingly deceiving potential guests;
