We're the Best Among Picayune, Mississippi Hotels

Checked me into a dirty room and did not remedy the situation with discount and waived $75.00 ridiculous early check out fee is the only compensation and then at last minute gave 2500 points. No apology --Rather nasty individual.

I travel all across the country for work and have been for the past 15 years and I stay at IHG properties all the time and i can easily say that this hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone especially with the nice area that it's in

Terrible experience

Was checking- in at 9 pm.
Room was not ready - was cleaned after previous guests.
Was offered to cancel by receptionist.
The hotel did not have nobody from the stuff to take care of room. I was not the only guest facing the same problems at the front desk and everybody was cancelling.
And also - Hotel did not have hot water at the moment

Needs updated

We’ve been coming to this hotel for years because of its proximity to the Shepherd center. Nothing has been updated and the last few times I’ve noticed just how much it needs updated. The carpet looks old. There are stains on the curtains. This time the hot water didn’t even work. The cinnamon rolls are good though.

Do not recommend

Having a clean room, and regular housekeeping is very important but the room was not the best cleaned and housekeeping only showed up once during my 5 night stay. Also, coffee should be available in the room, only having it available in lobby is inconvenient. Breakfast choices were also very poor and cheap (I could go to a gas station next door for the same items). Hate to say it, but this hotel actually made me miss having rehydrated scrambled eggs haha!

Didn’t sleep much due to noise from room above. And helicopter during the night from the hospital across the road sounded like it was right outside my window. I had on ear plugs.

It was only OK

I was in a non-refurbished room and lets just say it's a good thing they are fixing them. Shower was gross, walls were dirty, when I opened the tub drain spiders came out, bedding and shower curtain had black marks on them. I wouldn't recommend until they fix all of the rooms. I paid the same as my friend who got a nicer, cleaner room.

Toilet didn’t work and didn’t fix it

While the room is laid out nicely, roomy, clean and has a full kitchen, the bed and chair were really comfortable. A decent price as well. However, there was no phone in the room (was supposed to have one) no big deal until its 1:00 and the toilet backs up- had to go down to the front desk to report it, ask for help or even a plunger. The staff was polite but no one available to get to it before Monday (it’s Saturday) and no plunger because they’ve all already been loaned out to other guests - hmmm so this is an ongoing issue with this hotel? Nothing was done to rectify the issue no compensation was offered or given. The rest of our stay we didn’t have a toilet to use except in emergencies and then it would flush only drain so liquid only. Not ideal but all we had - other than that it was down to the lobby. Unacceptable to me since we were supposed to have a bathroom included in our room.
I filled out the survey and asked to be contacted by someone but no one has contacted me. I feel people should know this may a real issue since all the plungers were already asked for before I asked.

Bugs/flies in the room, some protein for breakfast

The first floor room I got had bugs/flies on the walls and in the bathroom. Those should have been visible for cleaning stuff. Luckily I got the other room.
The variety of the breakfast selection was quite wide, but nowadays there should be more protein available than only eggs.
