BAD STAY

Someone came to our room around 7pm and used a key to open the room! Luckly i had the door lock latch swing bar on and he wasnt able to come in.. He said he was checking rooms but that was very unprofessional and we were undressed getting out the shower!! and when i emailed them theyre calling me a liar they can check cameras but wont they do not care about their guests saftey
and they are deleting every comment and blocking me from social media so nobody can see what was my experience!! so rude

No pool, sub par managers reception, and dirty bathroom

This location currently has a closed pool, dated ammentities, and bottom of the line managers reception for the price. The room was spacious, but the bathroom shower was dirty and the shower drain was plugged. The door lock was also not working properly and we had to be extra cautious when we left the room to bang it shut so that it would actually catch the lock! Disappointing for the price.

Malfunctioning Electrical Outlets Are All A Fire Hazard

Only one electrical outlet in the room worked. All of the built into the furniture outlets did nt work. They were all a fire hazard of worn out contacts. Could not use any of them for phone chargers. Had to sleep through the night without my CPAP machine because there was no reliable outlet to plug it into.
I could not sleep in the bed. I had to sleep in the chair so as not to keep my wife awake via snoring. Only because the electrical outlets were all broken, thus I could not use my CPAP machine.

Not the best

This is not the best Holiday Inn Express I have stayed at. Tommy was not clean. Several dead bugs in the bathroom floor and hair on the bedside lamp. It was a handicap room and the shower floor had cracks in the corner but that is just an age issue. Advised the front desk about the bugs and they offered to send a maid but we had already cleaned it as we had one person staying in the room all the time. They gave excuse that people went out the door next to my room to smoke letting bugs in. Also was a part of a group of rooms reserved for a fraternal organization but we did not get the promised rate. Maybe because I reserved with IHG site with a note we were part of the group.

Room was comfortable. Person working front desk was not good

I am writing about my stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites at Fort Lauderdale Airport South on March 2nd.
Normally a stay at Holiday Inn means a great experience, this time was the exception. Before my stay I was assured that airport shuttle service was not a problem.
I booked 2 rooms a week before my stay.
I called from the airport to be picked up and asked airport personnel to verify that I was at terminal 1. The person working the desk said it would be 20-35 minutes. After 40 minutes I called back and she said I tried to call you, I am missing a number in your phone number, the shuttle driver said there was no one there. While on the phone she told me the number she had and I told her the correct number. The shuttle driver said she was told terminal 2.
We arrived at the hotel around 1 pm. I asked about early check in and was shown the list that they had to get through. We left our luggage preparing to go get lunch. I asked about the morning airport shuttle, our flight was 7 am, she said the 4:30 and 5:30 shuttles did not have room for our party of 4 so we could take the 3:30 or use Uber. I asked her to put us down for the 3:30 and add the room number once it was assigned.
When we returned from lunch I was told your room was ready an hour ago and I tried to call you but the number is wrong. I reminded her that we went over that while I was at the airport. She asked what we were doing for transportation in the morning, I reminded her that she wrote us in for the shuttle, she had written someone else in in our spot. Luckily there was still room for us.
My 2 rooms were on separate floors, she said that she tried to hold 2 rooms together but it was too crazy to do that. I asked for her name and she said Genesis.
My daughter had been in her room about half an hour and called me asking if I felt that? She said her whole room was shaking like a vibrating bed. The 3rd time it happened she went to the front desk and there were other people working, they were apologetic and said it was the laundry but it shouldn’t happen anymore. I wanted to address this directly instead of in a survey because our stay the week before , different staff at front desk, was great. I couldn’t find a email address so it’s in the survey.

Room too hot, AC broken

Good location, friendly staff, all seamed good especially given a room on the top floor with view of the castle.
Entering the room, we found a contact lense on the floor and cobwebs around the window. The room was also very hot, the temperature set at 25C. The window was sealed closed and could not be opened. I set the AC in room to 17C. It was very slow working, but didn't matter as we went out. On return room was at nice temperature, but in the night, AC reset on its own to 25C. I woke up at 3am, sweating and very hot. Could not open the window as I mentioned earlier. Had to reset the AC and wait. It took a couple of hours to cool the room.
The shower temperature could not be set to a constant. My partner tried to shower in the evening, it was so hot it was dangerous even on the coldest setting. In the morning, I set the temperature and yet without touching a dial, the temperature varied wildly from hot to cold.
Shame, the location is good and the bed was comfortable. I got very little sleep, couldn't shower in the evening and it was unpleasant in the morning.

Stayed During Renovations

My wife and I just wanted a night away from home and to swim in the middle of January so we picked this hotel because of the Indoor pool. Turns out the pool was CLOSED and my daughter who was excited to swim did not get to. It was the only reason I picked the hotel and I was not notified of the renovations and it was not disclosed on their website. I was promised 10k points for the inconvenience but never received the points which is a bit upsetting.
However the breakfast staff and the woman who checked me in were all very kind.

No respect for a persons time

Basic amenities issues. Staff not responsive to requests until it hits nuclear. Only creamer available was hazelnut, so bring your own. Vision hotel group doesn’t have any one answering the phone. Staff doesn’t know when managers will be there. Recently started charging for parking, but they out source it to a third party that requires you to agree to 14 pages of liability disclaimers.

We were very disappointed with our visit to Holiday Inn, York. The room was for an invalid with pull cords and invalid toilet. Our bed was a 4.5 ft bed for two people. Very uncomfortable. Our single friend was given a large room with 5 ft bed for herself. No room service or change of towels. No hot water on one morning. Staff were very nice and York is a lovely city.

Major corporations, such as Pfizer , Stryker and Borgess Medical Center are within miles. Leisure guests can enjoy amazing attractions in and around Kalamazoo, Michigan. Known as one of the top 10 beer cities in the US, the craft beer industry has been brewing since 1985. We also have a wide variety of bicycle trails for all levels of expertise. The Kal-Haven trail ends at the beautiful shore of Lake Michigan. Our great location is also near two dozen golf courses, and is home to the Wings Event Center . You can begin each morning with our Express Start Hot Breakfast , and after a busy day unwind in the indoor pool or sweat off stress in the 24-hour Fitness Center. Flashing light all night

It was mostly the same as the many other Holiday Inn Express stays I've had over the years, except: (1) the smoke detector (or similar device) above my bed flashed a green light at frequent intervals all night. I didn't notice it until I turned off the lights to sleep and it was bright enough that I had to put a washcloth over my face to sleep. I didn't want to switch rooms or have an employee come up, so I didn't call to the front desk. (2) They didn't have any hot options for breakfast. I understand equipment breaks, but the free breakfast is the main reason I choose Holiday Inn Express, so the value for my say was negated.
