Stylish St. Julian’s hotel near the beach, with free Wi-Fi and breakfast included Holiday Inn Express® Malta Located in the heart of the seaside town of St. Julian’s, only 18 minutes’ drive from Malta International Airport. Only two minutes walk will take you to the sparkling Mediterranean Sea at sandy St. George’s Bay beach, while the nearby Bay Street and Mercury Shopping Complexes are offering shops, restaurants and family entertainment, with a casino and a cinema next door. The hotel’s smart lobby lounge is ideal for informal meetings, and the neighbouring InterContinental® Malta houses the state-of-the-art IACC conference centre. Less than 20 minutes’ drive away in the fortified 16th-century capital, Valletta, you can explore baroque treasures such as St. John’s Co-Cathedral and browse designer stores. At this hotel you can enjoy: - Express Start Buffet Breakfast consisting of hot and cold beverages, selective choice of cold and hot items. - Free Wi-Fi - Business Centre facilities Contemporary Generation four rooms all have desks and LCD TVs, plus they feature blackout shades and a pillow menu to help you get a good night’s sleep. Words fall short to describe how truly wonderful my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Malta is/was, but here is my attempt.
I am a long term resident and this is my third time staying in Holiday Inn Express Malta. Holiday Inn Express Malta is a true gem of all Holiday Inn Express hotels. I can focus on a myriad of things in this review. But what I would like to truly call out is the awe-inspiring and oftentimes, downright jaw-dropping hospitality of this hotel. The hotel is a world of opulence and grandeur that exceeded my expectations. The Service was very personalised and way beyond my expectations. The entire staff is so warm, friendly, welcoming and solicitous, that you are not left wanting for anything at all and they never get tired of helping. Once asked for help means you are the priority and will be handled with great respect and love. From the balcony,I could enjoy the beautiful St. Julians sea view. Housekeeping and hygiene care staff were excellent and were always ready to help.
I have never seen anywhere that you get complimentary access to a full scale fitness center (Cynergi - Number one upscale fitness center and largest one in Malta) that is located just in an adjacent building. With confidence I can tell the facilities and lavish range of equipment at this fitness center will put every other hotel or fitness center in the world to shame. I must confess staying in Holiday inn Express Malta contributed to my good health and shape indirectly in this way. The breakfast is delightful with a range of possibilities for vegetarians and nonvegetarians.
Even my mom or dad would have surely failed or gotten tired but Mr. Mario is not. Even before I go to breakfast he will put a bag on the table I dine virtually everyday (my stay in more than 3 months) when he is present and check me out if everything is alright with genuine care. To be able to think about my needs (even without asking) everyday shows the special affection and he does it beyond the call of his duty. So my special thanks to Mario.
I am also very thankful to Ms. Pratikshya for always willing (even without asking) and never gets tired of helping me with the fresh towels for fitness everyday when she is present. She always makes sure I get the best one that shows true care.
I heartily recommend this property to everyone and you will never get disappointed.
I would like to say a thousand thanks one more time for EVERY SINGLE amazing hard working staff member of this property. All the very best.

I had an amazing stay for the second time. The staff at the hotel are friendly, very hospitable and accommodative. As one can see from earlier ratings, this property is consistently highly rated with outstanding reviews. From comfort, clean staff, food, convenience, extra facilities are simply great. If we have any request the manager and staff try very hard to make it happen. From my good experience I am planning to get back for 3 months this summer. This property is versatile and suitable for business guests, holiday makers, digital nomads and party goers. I strongly recommend to anyone who likes to have a peaceful stay during your time in Malta.

It is truly a delight to write this reference and review to Holiday inn Express, Malta. I hold IHG Diamond elite membership and stayed in many IHG properties, but my stay in Holiday Inn Express Malta is very special. I stayed for a long time and the pleasant experience tempted me to extend my stay and even planning for a return. The prime location of the hotel, amazing staffs, its great ambiance, modern building, comfort and complimentary access to full fledged real fitness center, spa and pool facilities makes it more special. IHG one reward members get some special treats and added amenities. The IHG greener stay at this property is more appreciable.
I must admit Ms. Maria Farrugia - Operational Manager is such an extraordinary person who is maintaining the property so well with genuine care and attention. I have never seen such a hard working, more hospitable, sincere, friendly and accessible manager anywhere else. One could see her working even from 7AM helping the team members, coordinating and even ensuring everything is fine at breakfast. She truly cares for her staff and guests. She went on personally, showed different rooms and made sure I got what I liked with good views. I once took two issues to her and she resolved and did everything to make sure i get a pleasant experience. Since she worked from inception in different roles and came up through hard work, no one knows better than her about every aspect of the hotel, service and guests. She strives so hard to make it even better. She truly deserves a five star.
Breakfast is served with love and deep care especially by Mr. Saviour. Mr. Saviour is a true blessing and asset for this property. He treats everyone with love and affection indiscriminately. I bet one will never get the same excellent breakfast anywhere else in Holiday Inn Express. It is simply splendid with a lot of healthy choices ranging from hot beans, freshly baked croissants, cooked meat, fresh vegetables, a range of hot/soft drinks and a lot of fresh fruits. It is truly healthy and blissful with a mesmerizing sunny beach view on the 8th floor every morning.
Every single staff member of this property is service oriented and works sincerely. They are welcoming and very respectful to the guests contributing to the greatness of the property. I deeply thank Holiday inn express Maltas entire team for your great services and for everything. I wish you all only the best.
