Excellent Hotel in a Heritage Area
Yes, I recommend this property.
First time staying here and we were not disappointed! The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and service oriented especially Mr Saiful, Mr William, Mr Nathan and many more! They are truly exceptional staff who go out of their way to make all guests including ourselves very welcome.
Our room was unique, beautiful and reflected the Peranakan heritage area. If there was one area that needs improvement would be a door to be built outside the shower area to prevent the shower from splashing on to the vanity area.
Breakfast was excellent with a very good spread that proved more than sufficient!
Hotel facilities were not exceptional but sufficient for a comfortable stay.
Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with a fantastic staff mix. Highly recommended to stay here!

Vast Improvement and Great Stay
Wow, a great improvement in terms of service levels, room cleanliness and overall stay this time around! Kudos to all staff from Front Office to F&B to Executive Lounge - you made our stay a very relaxing and memorable one.
If there is one thing that can be improved further, it is to expand the a la carte menu at Ginger Restaurant!
Otherwise, thank you again for making this short stay a wonderful experience for us!

Standards Have Slipped Somewhat
Yes, I recommend this property.
We have been customers of this hotel in Bangkok for many years. This HI has always provided value for money and has an unbeatable location in the heart of the city.
However during this recent trip, the hotel has slipped somewhat in terms of the front desk service and room cleanliness. I was not greeted as a Diamond Elite member, I was also not offered a room upgrade or any other privileges. I was simply told that I already booked a Premium room with lounge access and breakfast so they could not offer any additional privileges! It was when I asked if I could be upgraded that they finally took the initiative to upgrade my room!
The junior suite room was spacious and nice but cleanliness was not up to par. There was spilled coffee stains on the wooden floor which I had to remove myself. There was no complimentary fruit plate nor any welcome note.
I am most disappointed with the service levels and benefits accorded to Diamond Elite members here! IHG needs to up its game or they will see members like myself leaving for other hotel programs that really and truly appreciate their highest spending clients!!

An Old Tired Hotel
No, I do not recommend this property.
This hotel has been around for a while now and it tells in the condition of the room! We booked a 2 single bed Premium Room for 2 adults and our teenage son for 2 nights.
Firstly as a Diamond Elite member, I was not offered a room upgrade. However, they were nice enough to allow us an earlier check-in.
The room itself was a decent size to accommodate 3 adults. However, the carpets were stained and dirty. I had to request that the carpets be vacuumed again. Also, the entire bathroom was something from the late 1980s and SMALL! The only redeeming factor was they provided excellent toiletries in the form of BYREDO products.
I am not sure how they can sell this as a Premium Room product! Really ridiculous. The room was closer to a standard room at best! The tea and coffee sachets provided in the room was most basic, nothing really to shout about.
Although service levels were good, one would still feel "short changed" having paid several hundreds per night hoping for a truly 5 star product. If not for the hotel's close proximity to Roppongi, Ginza, Central Tokyo areas, I would not recommend this InterContinental hotel at all.
By the way, having stayed at Intercontinental Tokyo Bay on several past occasions, I think that is a better product anytime.

Upgraded Rooms and Great Location!
Have stayed here many times over the years. Was upgraded to Executive Floor because of my Diamond Elite status. That was a very nice gesture on the part of the hotel.
Rooms have been refreshed and still very well maintained. However, the bathroom needs some serious upgrading in the near future. Water pressure was very low and temperature control not consistent.
F&B was excellent and service levels were good.
Overall, still a great place to stay with the family. There were a few hiccups like inconsistent provision of face towels and failure to book my limo transfer from the hotel to the airport. Otherwise, everything else was good.

Good Stay Overall
Yes, I recommend this property.
Back again with the family after 2 months. We had a very nice stay and staff were superb as usual, often going out of their way to make our stay most comfortable and enjoyable! Although there were a few minor technical hiccups, staff attended and rectified the problems quickly. Overall, a great and wonderful stay. We look forward to returning again next year!

Fantastic Property with Superb Staff and Service!
Yes, I recommend this property.
This was our first stay here although we had stayed previously at other IHG properties in Bali.
This hotel really impresses! Wonderful room, excellent staff & service and fantastic food! Service levels throughout the resort were really high and what surprised me most was that staff could remember my name! Unbelievable for such a big property.
The grounds and pools of the resort are beautiful and well maintained. The Italian restaurant with its Italian/Mediterranean food was excellent and a must try!
Mr Christoph and his staff are doing an excellent job here in Jimbaran! Please keep up the good work!
My family and I are certainly looking forward to returning in the very near future.

Still Good After 2+ Years!
Yes, I recommend this property.
My family and I returned to our favourite resort in the Maldives after our last trip there in late 2019. We have been visiting this resort for approximately 10 years! In fact, we visited the resort 2x this year in the span of one month (late March 2022 and late April 2022)!
The HI Kandooma and its staff (I prefer to call them our friends) are still as good as ever. Overall service was Excellent and Attentive - catering very much to our needs and the needs of all their guests. Kudos to Mark (GM) and Shahid (EAM)!
Check in and check out was smooth and efficient as always.
We were especially impressed with the resort's Dive Centre and their staff who took great care of my wife and son during their many dives (64 dives)! The 2 boys at the Dive Centre were knowledgeable and most experienced.
F&B was excellent although the a la carte menu could do with some new dishes! We exhausted the a la carte menu after 15 days! The boys and girls at F&B operations were efficient and accommodating providing top notch table service! Kudos to both Eddie (Executive Chef), Siva (F&B Director), all managers especially Rateesh and Jobi; for ensuring the high standards!
On our first trip, my wife and son had to do a pre-departure PCR and the resort's medical doctor (Dr B.) and assistant were on hand and did the tests quickly and efficiently.
My wife and son were interested in the Shark Snorkelling activity organised by the resort's Water Sports Centre and put their names down for it. However because of high winds, this activity had to be postponed. The Water Sports Centre failed to inform or asked my wife and son if they were interested to go again when they confirmed the trip the following day. This was a failure in their SOP and unfortunate as they "left behind" 2 disappointed guests who were really looking forward to this activity!
Overall, we had two wonderful stays, great guests experience (Bandula and Ekla) and would certainly recommend HI Kandooma!
Thanks again to all staff who made this our relaxing and enjoyable home away from home! Until we return, wishing all staff and friends the very best!

Still a Pretty Resort with Excellent Vistas
Yes, I recommend this property.
This is our third time returning to this resort. The resort is still beautiful and facilities are good. Staff are friendly and service oriented although check in /check out was a little slow. This resort looks a little tired and needs some upgrading very soon. Balcony area was not clean and outdoor furniture not well maintained. The various restaurants menus have not been changed since our first stay about 2 years back! However service staff at the restaurants are still excellent! Overall, this resort needs to spruce up quickly to keep up with the other available luxury accommodations on the island.

Good Hotel But Can Be Better
Yes, I recommend this property.
This CP hotel is quite good providing a decent product at a relatively affordable price point. This is an older style hotel. Service at Reception was efficient except for one older gent who was not very friendly, otherwise Reception had friendly and helpful staff. We were not upgraded to a better room because we were a party of three. Instead, we were offered free breakfast and this was an ok arrangement. The rooms were very standard with not much to shout about, however, the room was clean and well maintained. These standard rooms really are in need of a renovation! Fruitier restaurant where breakfast was served had really excellent service staff. They were helpful, efficient and very friendly. Spread of food was good but as always, it could be further improved. Checkout was efficient but money change facilities at the Front Desk could be better as they only accepted US currency and Euros. The hotels in a good location as it is very near major tourist sites like the Atomic Dome, shopping and food areas. Overall, a decent hotel for a short stay in Hiroshima.
