The staff was very rude and totally unconnected with idea of service. Even drinking water was refused in middle of night , I am diabetic and needed yo take medicine and found no water ...shamefull

早餐不错，服务热情

酒店位置很好，吃饭玩水都很方便，因为会员免费升了房间，入住饮料也很好喝，早餐也不像评论里说的很单一，我觉得还不错，酒店的性价比很高，以后当然也会入住HIR试试

Not up to standard

This hotel in The Holiday Inn group of hotels must be the worst run of them all. IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group) has a job to do here to get this hotel up to normal Holiday Inn standard.
But the check in went as smooth as it could. Very friendly staff at the reception, but the service ended there.
The "express"-term seems to be like a low cost airline. The hotel has dropped some functions like concierge and bell boys. But one normally can bring ones own luggage to the room - so that is no problem.
But even low cost airlines must have a trained staff able to operate just like the staff of a full cost airline. This seems not to be the case at Holiday Inn Express.
House keeping seems to be poorly trained. On several days my room was not cleaned at 4pm (!) when I returned (and I left it early hanging out the sign telling them to clean). I confronted the reception with this and they excused themselves by saying the hotel was fully booked. That makes me wonder if the hotel is under staffed?
In my room long black hair could be found on the floor almost every day (and I'm blond, but bald).
The hotel has a very nice outdoor pool, but as in many hotels in vacation areas the pool seem to be a playground for noisy children, not a place for grown ups to relax. If you want to relax and doze of, I recommend the beach before the pool.
The breakfast is another disappointment seen with western eyes.
No müsli, no cold cuts, no cheese (had to ask and they brought some cheese one morning). This hotel seems to cater and value Chinese guests more that western guests in the tiny, sometimes overcrowded breakfast area. But plenty of bacon, fat sausages, variety of eggs, and rice. Fruit and vegetables. (In the end I found myself eating of the children's selection - peanut butter)
The rooms are not so spacious, but quite ok. Splendid bed. Very small bathroom, but a very large shower. Plenty of hot water all the time. A little balcony outside every room facing the garden. On my stay I was very disturbed by ongoing construction work at the next door area. Not that the hotel can be blamed for this, but very disturbing.
I will never return to this hotel - it made a very poor first impression, and there are plenty of other hotels, above and below this standard, to chose from in Patong, so my advise is - just stay away from the poor service and lack of hospitality that this hotel is offering. At least not before IHG shape up the management here.

Poor Service Limited facilities

Staff not obliging and no food service availble. If you just want a bed then that is all thats on offer here, there are far more competetative options availble with better facilities. No shampoo, no soap, just a despenser for liquid wash in the bathroom. It brings the word express to a new level.
