Power Outage and Spoiled Milk

We were really disappointed in our stay. This has been a first...The first night we were there the power went out. While we understand that there are things that happen beyond control, there was no communication or apology.
It would have been appreciated if there was an attempt to inform people what was happening. Albeit it would have been a hand written note or someone simply approaching us in the lobby. We had to find staff to ask details and when power was due to come on. Then, the following morning, the breakfast selection was practically empty and the milk went sour. My husband chugged a cup of milk before he realized it had turned sour. We usually have great experiences with HIE hotels.

The elevator was not working during our stay at the hotel which was 5 days. We were on the second floor and continually had to use the stairs. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice. The water pressure in the bathroom sink and shower was horrendous. We thought we could have been compensated for the inconvenience of having to use the stairs for 5 days. It would have been nice to have at least offered a small discount or something to show they valued their customers.

This was an extremely disappointing hotel stay.
First, the cleanliness of the bathroom was unacceptable. The toilet seat was not properly cleaned, and when I flipped it down, I found a large amount of hair and unidentified substances. Since I was in a hurry, I had to clean it myself, but thinking about it afterward still makes me feel disgusted. Additionally, the faucet had severe limescale buildup, indicating a serious lack of maintenance.
Second, the tissues provided in the bathroom were inconsistent. After using up the white tissues, I noticed that some yellowish tissues appeared. I have no idea what could have caused this, but it was certainly unacceptable.
Third, there were major issues with the cleanliness of the bedding. The bedsheet had unidentified dust and stains, while the duvet cover also had suspicious marks. Based on the color, I even suspected it might be unwashed bloodstains. However, after driving for over eight hours that day, I was too exhausted to report the issue to the front desk.
Having stayed at many hotels before, this was by far the worst experience. It fell completely short of expectations and was deeply disappointing. I hope the hotel takes these hygiene issues seriously to prevent other guests from facing similar situations.

Disappointed

My stay was horrible! Walking in, the lobby was basically a flea market. There was some type of convention that was permitted to show their tables of CD’s and racks of clothes. Never saw this in a hotel lobby before.
As a long time IHG member I would think some discretion would be given when assigning what room you receive. I was given a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the outside patio/smoking area. My only request was a 2 queen room. What I received was a room that was subject to constant noise up to around midnight. Not really conducive to a relaxing night in my hotel room.
I spent over $500.00 for this stay and was completely disappointed. I am retired now and plan to travel frequently.
I will be hard pressed to choose another IHG hotel again after this experience.
I do not plan on putting this bad review on any type of social media page. I write this with the hope you will correct these problems at the Holiday Inn Cherry Hill NJ.

Start your day with a hot buffet breakfast in our restaurant which is also open for dinner and kid's eat free. In the hotel bar, you can enjoy a snack or unwind with friends or family over a drink. Feel like staying in? Enjoy a meal from the room service menu.

Basic hotel. Not up to usual Holiday Inn standard

The room was average, a little tired and dated. The heating didn't work despite following instructions from the staff. The heater looked 40 years old.
Shower was good. Bed comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities ok.
Breakfast was a farce, queued for half an hour to get seated. No cups, no plates, one member of staff seating guests, clearing plates and bringing food- she was very cheery and kept smiling throughout! A member of (quite unfriendly!) management finally arrived at 9.45 and slowly began clearing tables. The food quality was below average.
Holiday Inns are normally a decent standard wherever you go in the world. This fell well below the expectations.

Fernando in the lounge added a tip to bill when I zeroed it out when cash was handed to him.
Unknown mini bar charges.
Peruvian ladies at lounge can talk between them for long periods while guests go unattended.

My dissatisfaction

We were not served at the restaurant on two occasions at dinner time. Eventful had to walk down to the inter continental for dinner.
All the tables were used at dinner time and no one was cleaning up after use. You need more staff to help the team.
Also the body lotion in the bathroom was empty. I requested them to top it up but that never happened
