Poor Breakfast

Breakfast pretty much ran out of everything or was not in stock at 8 AM. Definitely one of the worst Holiday Inn Express breakfasts I have had.
Kids were going to swim but we said not to because the water looked nasty.
First off I was not directly impacted by this next comment, but was upset based off of the other customers who were affected.
I guess this hotel was not accepting 3rd party bookings which led to alot of upset customers who I am assuming were not notified based on their reactions upon trying to check in. This honestly is unacceptable to somebody who had been traveling looking forward to a stay only to be told you need to contact your agency for a refund. Front desk person was very rude to these people. Made me even feel uncomfortable.
I guess this hotel was not accepting 3rd party bookings which led to alot of upset customers who I am assuming were not notified based on their reactions upon trying to check in. This honestly is unacceptable to somebody who had been traveling looking forward to a stay only to be told you need to contact your agency for a refund. Front desk person was very rude to these people. Made me even feel uncomfortable.
Based on the breakfast and the rude front staff person working that evening, I would not be back.

Lovely stay

I came here with my friend, and we both stayed tonight. The location was very convenient. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The value of this room is great and the super clean room. We both felt safe here as well (both girls)

Building needs maintenance, and not worth the price

This used to be a nice hotel, but gets more run down year after year. Location is good. Hotel pool seems to be out of order most times I stay here, and the rooms are a toss up on condition. Last visit had toxic level of mold smell in my original room assignment. Had to be moved to an improvement, but not an improvement by much.

Comfortable rooms

I travel here for work on a monthly basis, recently I stayed longer than usual, about two weeks. I was exhausted and ready to go home as you can imagine. I had to extend my stay one more day, when I went down to the front desk to see if I could do so, the lady was very nice and extended the stay an extra night. She asked me if I needed a late check out. I said yes, that would be good. She told me she could do 1pm. I was not intending to use the extra time but after two weeks I accepted and ended up sleeping in that day. I woke feeling so great, refreshed and ready to head home. I took my time and went to the gym, sent out a few emails etc thinking there was no rush. Then at 11:04 house keeping started knocking. I told the lady I had a late checkout. They knocked every few minutes until noon when I was ready to go. The manager came as well asking if I wanted to extend the room. I told her no, I already extended the room and had a late checkout. She replied that it wasn't in the notes. I left immediately. I left feeling like this was one of my worst hotel stays

Well Below Expectations

The room was very small. It had 2 queens but one of the beds you could not walk beside because it was pushed to the wall so far. The shower was atrocious. I ran out of hot water 8 minutes in to my shower, the water pressure was horrible and the markings on the faucet for hot and cold were backwards. The lighting in the bathroom was awful too. The entire mirror was surrounded by a light that could not be turned off and was overly bright. The lighting in the room was bad as well. It was either a blazing lamp by the bed or nothing. The toiletries were marked So e but were obviously not Dove or had been watered down to go further.
When we checked in we were told our room was down the hall but were not told what room. We had to look at the room key for the room number.
We were there one night and when we arrived there was a homeless man sitting outside smoking and when we left in the morning he was still outside smoking. When you are asthmatic like my husband and son this is not good.
This was lower priced hotel but I have stayed in places with a similar price and the accommodations were much better than this.

My least favorite IHG stay so far

This is my first time staying at a Voco and I'm unlikely to try another one. First, I understand that space and room size in NYC is always going to skew on the smaller side, so I never expect a good sized room unless I'm paying a premium for it. However, after being thanked by the front desk for being a member, I was surprised to find myself in a low floor, tiny, slightly dirty (someone left a used bandaid for us), extremely UNquiet room. In the past I have received the text messages from staff asking how I am finding the room, and when I expressed the fact that I was unimpressed this time, they said, "Great, let us know if you need anything else". And look, I'm just there to sleep, I wasn't going to insist on a better room, despite the fact that after I took my first shower I discovered the shower pan was graded AWAY from the drain so the dirty water just sat in the pan the entirety of our stay, but there are better options and I wish I had chosen differently. If you do choose to stay, you absolutely need earplugs for sleeping because every single door closing can be heard and felt by the surrounding rooms. I won't be back.

We offer plenty for our travelers, that is, if they can pull themselves away from the dozens of attractions nearby. The hotel is located a few miles from Berlin, MD, recently voted America's Coolest Small Town and Casino at Ocean Downs . Sunset Marina is located just down the street and offers dozens of fishing excursions along with the opportunity to see a White Marlin up close and personal!
If you're here for pleasure, you will find Tanger Outlets across the street along with dining, entertainment, and all the fun that Ocean City has in store! Adventures can be found around every corner here and we definitely recommend a relaxing day trip to Assateague Island National Seashore to see the beautiful wild ponies or plan an exciting day at Trimper’s Amusements where carnival rides and games await to delight people of all ages and sizes! Not to mention we are just moments away from Golf Courses with beautiful scenic views such as Man O'War at Glen Riddle & The Links at Lighthouse Sound.

Convenient location, great service

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend trip to OCMD. For the price and location, it was a good choice. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in need of significant repairs. Lots of issues in the bathroom and the cleanliness of the room was questionable.

Quality is slipping

We have been staying here for years. We combine business with pleasure and usually bring the kids because it was the best heated pool in 3 states. The indoor pool has been off every time we have been there since September. You can swim but you will freeze. We need to be back in the area in 2 weeks, I asked at the front desk if the pool would be heated then and the lady at the front desk said "if it isnt today, I wouldnt bet on it."
The TV cable box quit working halfway thru our stay and couldnt be brought back online. Again the front desk staff said it could be fixed but they didnt have what was needed.
Beds are good, breakfast is good, things are clean, but since the remodel things just arent the same.
We were woken up twice back in September because the fire alarms went off, I see in the reviews that it happened again 2 weeks later.
Pricing is way too high on the in-house snacks and drinks. $12 for 2 cokes and a small bag of chips is unacceptable.

Attention to detail is lacking

It's in a good location, but it's an aging hotel with a low level of service. We waited about 10-15 minutes to check in, and the front desk did not acknowledge our arrival. Our housekeeping service was also skipped. Because of that we requested two new sets of towels. We were specifically asked if we wanted washcloths and hand towels, which we did. After a long wait, we were given one (old, thin) towel and told it was the only one available in the hotel. Furnishings are tired. Our status was acknowledged, but we were not given a choice of a welcome amenity and were not offered the free room upgrade.
