Horrible room cleanliness & service

Overall service was horrible. My room was dusty, carpet was dirty, toilet handle had poop on it, tub was full of hairs & so was the bed. The glass that goes inside the microwave to put your food on top to heat it up wasn’t even the one for that microwave. So that glass bottom tray wouldn’t rotate at all.
I informed front desk of the issue so they can send housekeeping to change my whole bed & clean the bathroom. Housekeeping was gone after 3, so they only brought me extra sheets. I informed I wanted it done the next morning. I had to leave early morning for some things & came back just to find everything the same. House keeping didn’t clean the toilet. They just stretched the same bed sheet to make it look like it was “new sheets”. They were the same ones from day one with pen marks on them. Eventually I got clean bed sheets by front desk since housekeeping was gone by then & front desk had to come “clean” the toilet.
I didn’t get my whole bed changed till a day before I almost checked out. Housekeeping didn’t change my bed, it was done by front desk. When I checked out, I told them what happened with my stay. They said why didn’t I say something so I could get a new room. I did tell them as soon as I arrived. It was also miscommunication with one front desk worker that didn’t notify housekeeping.
Housekeeping service overall needs to be better!!! Train the housekeepers better or get new ones. I stayed for almost a week so I wasn’t able to fully rest after long hours of drive & training. Which sucked.

small room and old facility

My family of 3 stayed there for 3 nights. The room is very small for a king bed + a sofa bed.
There's something wrong with the door lock, you have to make sure its locked when you leave. Everyday when we came back the door was unlocked. Unbelievable!

I arrived to the property around 2 am. They staff member on duty tryed to give me a king bed suite when I had booked a two queen bed suite. She mention that I booked "any room avail" and that I needed to contact the booking agent when in fact, I had booked on the IHG app with points and cash. She changed it to two queen beds. As soon as we arrive to the suite, we noticed dirt and debris at the front door. Entering into the room we were met with two trash cans upside down on the table and the glass plate of the microwave. The microwave was left open. The bathroom had no toilet paper and the light fixture was hanging. There was a sticky substance on the table underneath the TV and conjoining table (smelt like coffee). The remote had something white on it and one of the comforters had multiple round spots on it. It seemed as if they started to clean the room and didn't finish. At 2 am i was looking to just craw into bed, but i ended up having to walk down to the front desk to report the issues. The rep provided toilet paper that looked like she got it from another baththroom and she provided me with dry wet wipes. If i wasn't so tired I would have left to find another hotel. I also had a hard time sitting on the couch because of the smell of the carpet. IHG hotels are using my first choice, but after this experience, I think that will change. In the lobby a bunch of women posing all over the place provocatively like a bunch of hookers the front desk could easily see this going on and did nothing about it. This is the worst Holiday Inn that I have ever stayed at and will never stay at this location again.

A Little Noisy

This was our first time staying at this particular Holiday Inn. We needed to check in a little early to get changed for a wedding and were accommodated- which was greatly appreciated! However, in the evening when we returned we noticed teens in the lobby area that were a little noisy. Also noticed that the elevator had been SIlly-Stringed. Around midnight, my son-in-law had to get up twice and speak to the teens whom he said were "sprinting and yelling down the hallway." I wish more had been said to the teens and their supervisors (I believe that they were staying for a soccer tournament.)

Outdated hotel

We stayed here for the pool and closeness to where we had things planned. The price was ok but the hotel was outdated and nothing really to offer for amenities. We will try another hotel next visit.

Not good

Room on 6th floor and could not unlock door. Had to go back down to front desk and get assistance. Same thing happened each of next two days. Door latch was wobbly and would not work properly. Also, poor front desk service when I arrived. Breakfast options very limited. Small bottle of bath gel was almost empty. Not sufficient amount in the bottle to take 2 showers.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel due to its numerous shortcomings. While its proximity to Bourbon Street is a notable advantage, it is vastly outweighed by the hotel's significant issues. The property appears to be outdated and poorly maintained, with disturbing cleanliness problems, including the presence of dead roaches in the elevator. The lack of basic room amenities such as a mini fridge, iron, and sufficient towels is unacceptable. Moreover, requests for these essentials are consistently ignored, indicating a lack of customer service. Attempts to address these issues through IHG Customer Support and the hotel manager, Willow, have been ineffective, suggesting a systemic failure in management and customer care. Given these concerns, it is advisable to explore alternative accommodations that prioritize guest satisfaction and provide a more satisfactory experience.
