房間安排不當

房間與一群學生同樓，房間內都能聽到走廊的叫喊玩鬧的聲音，隔壁關門時都能感覺到牆壁的震動。
已在IHG的app上申請要住靠近電梯，還是安排我住在離電梯最遠的房間，雖說升級特大床，但也要確試住客的需求吧。
免費早餐不好，餐枱整理不及時，都是食物掉落。

Would stay again

First time in China so a little apprehensive - the hotel was great. Room and bathroom decent size, clean, comfortable beds, quiet, good heating / air con and good shower unit. View not much - a very small courtyard type thing.

Lobby is small. The only place you could sit during the day is the breakfast room but this is kind of closed up after breakfast so your room is only place to chill and a small seating area on each floor at elevators. One English language cgtn Chinese news channel on TV.

Only meal provided was breakfast - slightly odd offerings when you are used to western breakfast buffet - but you quickly kind of get to like noodles, dumplings, wok friend green veg etc for brekkie - also some more western stuff like cereal, toast and coffee reasonable as long as you remember to turn up the strength "dial".

There is a good supermarket next door to hotel for water etc and a few restaurants nearby - the one we went to you could scan using alipay to get an English menu - enough on the menu that westerners can tolerate. It's a nice neighbourhood with a local Chinese vibe and felt safe..

Number 10 metro station is about 10 mins walk and from there about 30 mins / 10 stops to Nanjing road east station gets you within a short walk of the bund etc.

Getting to hotel from Pudong airport - it's about an hour's drive if traffic is ok and 20 pound sterling equivalent..We got maglev train to it's terminus in Shanghai (10 mins, 300 km/h) and then picked up a taxi on road outside station (may need to get directions to taxi stand) 30 mins and 12 quid from there to hotel. Negotiate the fare before leaving (using translation app if necessary) - but we found taxi drivers good. We had called a Didi but it didn't come so we canceled and WeChat / didi refunded fare immediately when we texted
(WeChat has 2 way translate function so you can write in English and translate the message sent back).

On subject of WeChat pay / alipay we had a UK phone number and uk bank account. If you domt have chinese sim.card and / or bank account the payment apps can be hit or miss and frustrating - best to have some cash as backup - there are cash machines in airport - stick to the big banks away from airport eg icbc ) - some smaller bank ATM won't take visa / MC. Hotel takes visa directly thankfully.

Last but not least the staff in the hotel were great - friendly, very willing to help - including answering questions about various things we emailed about before we arrived in china. Most speak some English but will use translating apps to make sure they understand you and are understood.

I would stay there again.

地理位置好

不考虑公共交通外，地理位置一流，就在金鸡湖边，晚上就近走走很好。
行政酒廊出品也在线（10岁小孩有些抱怨说没糖HAHA）。
早餐也挺不错。
客房布置有些特别，圆形大浴缸摆在中间也没有遮挡，似乎只考虑了二人世界人士出行，圆形大沙发看似高大上可惜不实用而且占地方，改成长条形大沙发应该会方便很多。

Great location and excellent room

My family stayed in the IC Suzhou over a weekend. The room was spacious with an excellent view of the Jinji lake. My kid loved it a lot. The location was very convenient to several shopping mall nearby.

It was also worth noting the lounge service was impressive with highly professional staff and great food/beverage. The property was very well maintained.

Wonderful staff and clean hotel

The staff were very kind and accommodating. The hotel is in a prime location above the subway, lines 2 and 4, and the MixC mall. The room was extremely clean and well organized. There is a diffuser/sleep machine to ensure a good nights’ sleep and when you wake up, there is also exercise equipment and an exercise mirror to assist with your fitness goals! I highly recommend this hotel and will hopefully be back!

Electric car charging spots

1. There are limited E-car charging spots in the hotel, actually only 3 spots, making the long-ranged and Ali-Shan (mountain) visitors very inconvenient (in order to be fully charged before heading to the mountainous areas).
2. Moreover, I believe that there is probably no video surveillance for the charge areas. During our stay, we asked the front desk to see whether there were available charging spots, the front desk person had to walk outside towards the parking lot to check. Two issues here. One is in case of (e) car fire, the responding time would be very limited. Second, some people just charged their car for very long time and occupied the charging spots. We waited for like 2-3 hours (before departure) and nobody removed their cars from the charging spots. Eventually we decided to depart from the hotel and anxiously went to somewhere else to charge our car. The hotel needs to have some mechanisms to avoid the un-charged occupancy and video surveillance for the charging area.

Your concerns about the lack of video surveillance and the absence of a monitoring or time management system for the charging spots are entirely valid. We understand how frustrating it must have been to wait for an extended period without being able to charge your vehicle.

We are currently reviewing the feasibility of installing surveillance equipment in the parking and charging areas to enhance safety and response readiness. In addition, we are discussing the implementation of a charging spot management policy to ensure fair and efficient use of these facilities, such as setting time limits or notifying guests when charging is complete.

Must-stay in Jiayi!

Visited Jiayi Voco for 1 night on Jan 16, 2025 for anniversary celebration. The service was top notch in Alishan as the only luxury hotel in that area. Special thanks to hotel colleagues at the front desk for their kind hospitality. As Diamond Ambassador elite members, we got a gorgeous one-bedroom suite upgrade. Elite members enjoy full benefits at this hotel and very friendly colleagues everywhere in the hotel. This is our most favorite Voco hotel in Taiwan, China! Highly recommended for special occasions as well as sightseeing trips to Alishan. We will definitely come back again whenever we visit Alishan next time!

Best IHG hotel n Chiayi - upscale and unbeatable value

I used points to make my booking and my confirmable SNA upgrade to get into a 2-king bed suite.

Service staff at check-in was patient and courteous. My status was recognized and I chose the breakfast as my welcome amenity - totally worth it.

Later, a second attentive staff member helped me with the elevators. The hotel lobby and the amenities and room furnishings look brand new.

The breakfast selections (both on the a la carte, and on the buffet days) was wide and hearty and the dining service staff were attentive. Chiayi’s signature turkey rice dish was offered both days.

Very family-oriented environment but posh and upscale at the same time. Great value for very little cost.

One of IHGs better offerings in this municipality.

The best hotel in Chiayi

The hotel facilities, views, and location are excellent. The only downside is that the room does not provide a shoehorn. Everything else is very good, making it an ideal choice for family trips.
