Welcome to the newly renovated Candlewood Suites NE Stafford. We offer rooms with modern amenities a countertop stove, fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you might need, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. You can easily do your laundry any time of the day (or night) in our courtesy laundry room, you can also buy detergents, Clorox and fabric softener at our convenient front desk store. Please enjoy our well-equipped gym open 24 hours a day, even on the weekends!!

Books advertised are not the room you get. Need more amendments in rooms and more towels. Breakfast needs to be provided earlier then 8 or 9

Need to be more considerate when advertising a product. Paid for something and didn't receive it. The noise was loud. TV didn't have many channels. Didn't get to eat breakfast cause I had to leave to early each morning.

Worst Hotel Experience

When we checked in on March 7, our room on the 14th floor was unbearably hot at 85 degrees. Turning on the air conditioner only made matters worse, raising the temperature to 88 degrees. After reporting this issue to the front desk, we were moved to another room (#562). Unfortunately, the air conditioning in this room was also non-functional, making for an uncomfortable and frustrating stay.
To make matters worse, this morning we discovered there was no hot water, preventing us from taking a proper shower. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I have stayed in budget motels in developing countries that at least provided basic necessities like air conditioning and hot water.
When I brought these concerns to the front desk this morning, I was informed that the hotel was already aware of these issues but failed to disclose them at check-in. Had I known, I would never have stayed at your property.

Disbelief in the service

This hotel is an absolute disgrace. From the moment I walked in, I could tell it was going to be a nightmare. The lobby smelled stale, the staff was rude and dismissive, and the entire place felt unclean. My room was disgusting—dirty sheets, a musty odor, and a bathroom that looked like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t even change the bedding between guests. The walls are paper-thin, so good luck getting any sleep with all the noise from the hallway and other rooms. I was constantly woken up by slamming doors, loud conversations, and even the sound of plumbing from other rooms.
The service is just as bad as the conditions. The front desk staff clearly doesn’t care about guests. When I brought up my concerns, they either ignored me or gave me attitude like I was inconveniencing them. Housekeeping? Nonexistent. They barely do the minimum, and it shows. And let’s talk about the so-called “breakfast”—what a joke! Stale pastries, bad coffee, and barely anything else. Don’t advertise breakfast if you’re just throwing out leftovers from last week.
For the price, this place is a complete scam. It’s uncomfortable, dirty, and managed by people who clearly don’t care. If you value your money, your comfort, and your sanity, STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. I wish I had.

KING SUITE was horrible.

First and foremost they don't recognize our military service members and they don't give a Military discount. (Unacceptable )
Staff is friendly however not helpful in any way.
The KING SUITE - cost $251.85 Very disappointed with our room, the kitchenette wasn't clean, the Keurig machine looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it was purchased all around the machine there were coffee grounds, the Keurig pods holder was covered with coffee grounds and also dirty. Kitchen sink handle is ready to fall off,
The KING bed was so uncomfortable, truly it felt like a huge board was under the mattress. Pillows were also uncomfortable.
The dresser drawer was broken and ready to fall out. Peg under the dresser as well.
The mirrors were all very dirty. There isn't anything in the room for services available either in the hotel or the area. No guide for TV stations, no guides for the restaurant on site, no pool schedule, actually after walking around to let staff know about our issues and show them pictures of everything we found out that the pool was out of order. The restaurant which is also a bar was on a very limited menu. The only decent part of the room was the shower.

UNEXPECTED EMBARRASSMENT!

The rooms should be prepared and allocated ahead of time. I had to come back to lobby with 2 suitcases and bags. It was difficult for me. The lady at the front desk gave me the wrong key. I opened a room that was already occupied. It was an embarrassing situation.

Rude Awakening

background - Booked into hotel as part of Road Scholar group. I had arranged thru communication with, reservation manager, to stay an additional night at my expense, received written confirmation of stay. I printed copy, with confirmation #, for files.
3/6/25, 3:00 am My daughter and I are awakened by loud knocking on door.. Person repeatedly yells, "Police. You are not supposed to be here. Get dressed and come downstairs. " Daughter and I meet night clerk in lobby. She repeatedly refuses to even look at document I am holding, adamantly insists several times "Our records show you are not supposed to be in the room" refuses to contact any higher authority - says Day Manager will be in at 7 am. "Go back to the room and work it out with the day manager". My blood pressure spiked to near-stroke levels, and I was unable to sleep for the rest of the night,

Day manager does not call me - I contact him at 8 am. He says he is aware of the incident and "would like to hear your version" - a phrase that borders on accusatory and disrespectful. But - he reviews my written confirmation of legitimate occupancy - and confirms there.there have been several layers of miscommunication. He states the person pounding on our door and falsely identifying himself as "Police" was actually a security guard supplied by a subcontractor.
Day Manager states he is not authorized to offer the compensation we deserve for such shabby treatment, makes minimal compensation and refers me to General Manager (WHO HAS NOT RESPONDED TO MY EMAILS OF 3/6 AND 3/8)
If night clerk had only allowed me to present my proof of legitimate occupancy and offered to waive the charge for the one night, I would have shrugged the whole incident off as "Mistakes Happen" and gone back to bed. However, I seem to be wading through a swamp of beaucratic efficiency and indifference,

Deteriorating Service

I have stayed multiple times at this hotel, basically almost once a month. However, everytime I stay, i feel the standard is dropping lower each time.
Starting from check-in, i was not recognised as a gold member, other than the sticker on my room card.
I went to my room, and the door was not even locked properly. As a frequent hotel guest, this simply means the room is not secured.
Thankfully, the same front desk staff, promptly gave me another room, but horrifically, the first thing I see on my duvet cover is blood stain. I didnt even flip underneath to check, it was on the top side. Is there no quality check done to your sheets at all? When I proceeded to give this feedback to the front desk again, a different staff told me if he can just send housekeeping to the room to change it.
Out of all of my stays, this is by far the worst Ive experienced.
