Pésima experiencia

Lo único ideal fue la localización del hotel. La habitación tenía muchas fallas en limpieza , mesas con polvo, baño sucio, sábanas manchadas. Nos tuvieron que cambiar la nevera porque no enfriaba y la estufa no prendía. Estuvimos 2 semanas en el hotel y solo vino housekeeping en 3 ocasiones y porque tuvimos que ir al front desk en múltiples ocasiones a solicitarlo. Hasta toallas tuvimos que ir a buscar porque ni eso teníamos. Al parecer es uso y costumbre que el servicio sea tan deficiente pues los empleados solo decían, pues hay que esperar que los de housekeeping puedan ir porque ya nosotros le dijimos y no podemos hacer nada mas porque ni siquiera habían sábanas limpias para nuestra cama. Honestamente la peor experiencia en un hotel que hemos tenido.

Unhelpful/Uncaring Staff

I selected this hotel because it advertised Electric Vehicle charging. When I arrived all their stations were out of service, with signs saying as much. The first front desk clerk told me they had something they could rig out up front for me when I came back later. I returned after concluding my business in the area, and there was someone new, who told me that there wasn't something like that, and that the EV chargers were fine and I wasn't using them correctly. I went back out in the rain to try again, and nothing, tried tapping my room key on them, credit card, whatever, and nothing happened. I went back in and told them again, the signs say out of order, and nothing I'm doing is working. They didn't care at all, and made no attempts to fix the issue or inform anyone. I ended up having to find a fast charger the following day, sitting for an hour, and paying $40 for enough energy to get home. In addition, all the wall chargers near the bed failed to work, and instead they had rigged up a surge protector under the desk to use for electronics. I'm glad I packed a usb to ac adapter.

Decent room but terrible water temperature

This property is a relatively new property, and as such is in great condition. Beds were comfortable and room was laid out well.
My biggest issue, however, was the temperature of the water in the bathroom. Regardless of how the sink or shower was set, the water only came out hot... when in the "cold" position it came out hot, and in the "hot" position it was even hotter. After the first night of my two-night stay, I notified the front desk who informed me that they'd have maintenance look at it; apparently this wasn't done - the evening desk clerk stated there was no note indicating that there was a problem. She then moved me to a different room which had the same issue (but less severe.)
Breakfast was OK; overpriced in my opinion. I ordered a breakfast that included scrambled eggs; as I was the only guest in the restaurant I asked if I could get the eggs done differently and was told it wasn't possible because the eggs are made from a mix and not fresh eggs. I didn't think it was a good value, as it wasn't any better than the included breakfast buffets that many other hotels serve.
Staff was generally friendly; no complaints there.
Room was also comfortable and clean.

Poor For A CP

I’ve stayed in many Crowne Plaza hotels and found this one pretty poor compared to the others, more like a holiday inn
Tiny rooms, no shelves or drawers only 5 hangers, even smaller bathroom, no diamond upgrade despite rooms available
Poor management of restaurant, breakfast items not kept stocked well, big queues every day to get a table which could easy have been avoided
Location is ok, 20 mins walk into city centre or a 5 min walk and u ban. Handy for airport from that U Bhan station though.

Lack Problem Resolution

This is the most expensive hotel in Marion. It’s also the newest. My family and I stayed there twice between February and March.
Our first stay the room would not cool down. We called down to the desk and he said there was nothing he could do. The second time we stayed, the water in the shower would not get past warm. Which when you have kids that were excited to take bubble baths this was a huge disappointment. We did not call down this time as the last time we had called for an issue we were told nothing could be done.
When I reached out to customer service after our stay they basically said they couldn’t do anything because we paid through Capital One, which made no sense because they are not the hotel. They could not reimburse us for an issue that was the hotel’s fault.
This hotel costs way too much money to have issues like these. Yes, it looks nice. But does that matter when the water won’t get hot or the room won’t cool down? Then them doing nothing to make it right on top of that is not okay. So, saying all this to say that just because something is more expensive does not mean it is better.
A couple other negatives worth mentioning: The pool is the smallest pool I’ve ever seen in a hotel, no waffle maker(another thing kids get excited for), and they make you wait until the morning of to ask for a late check out which kind of defeats the purpose of asking for one to be able to sleep in longer.

Comfortable rooms

Great bed and comfortable rooms. The only thing I don’t like about this is I feel I’m being scammed. I booked 15k bonus package per night for 2 nights. And they haven’t credited me with my 30000 points due me. This is the second time this is happening. The first time i booked same 15k bonus package per night for 3 nights. They did not credit me with the bonus points. I have been going back and forth. Front desk will tell you to contact IHG. IHG will tell you to contact hotel. This is frustrating and feels like a scam. They keep shifting responsibility

Ants in the kitchen. Employees stand in front of the entrance and smoke. Not very inviting. Also, the hallway carpet has stains everywhere—pot smoking in the parking lot by the workers. Not very well managed.

BEWARE… DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

BEWARE!!! I've stayed at other IHG and had a good experience, but this hotel was horrible. The only thing good was the staff. The AC was not working in the building. If you read other reviews you will notice that it’s been out for months. In fact someone on staff said it’s had problems for a year now. Only 1 out of 3 elevators actually work. And the 1 elevator that did work had no lights. They put battery operated lights on the wall, but it’s still dark in the elevator. It also shakes. In my room the shower didn't have a door so all of the water splashed out on the floor. If you want hot water you had to leave the water running for at least 15-20 minutes before it warmed up. And that was just to get warm water, not hot water. The wall covering in the bathroom is delaminating. When I was checking in they asked if I would be eating breakfast there. I told them yes. I called down at 9:30 to see what time breakfast ended and was told the dining area was closed because the cook never showed up. Read the other reviews and trust me…Don't stay here! 😡👎

8 Families canceled due to the management not allowing a 2 night stay be changed to a 1 night stay, even when requested prior to deadline.
