Would highly recommend this hotel

My family stayed in this hotel for one night for leisure purposes. We enjoyed the stay in the hotel and would highly recommend it.
-staff we all very welcoming and polite
-the hotel was extremely clean and well presented
-excellent choice of breakfast items, and served over a long enough period of time for early risers and those who like a bit of a lie-in!
-the hotel was quiet, even for a Saturday night, and we heard no noise from anyone inside or outside the hotel
-the beds were comfy, and I liked the choice of firm' and 'soft' pillows on each bed
-great location for the city centre and for the places we wanted to visit

Great bathroom and service

Very good central location and good value for money. The room and hotel were clean and comfortable although the carpet in our room had quite a few stains on it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I will stay there again when visiting the city.

I've never been interested in airports, apart from passing through them.
But we visited this hotel to see family.
And went up to floor 5 for a quick drink.
Amazing view of the runway through the biggest glass roof I have ever seen.

Convenient hotel, pity about the food.

Stayed here Sunday night for early flight next morning. Booked table in restaurant for 6pm but only option was Sunday Roast. It was clear that meat and roast potatoes had been kept warm from lunch time. Most unappetising meal. Happy to stay here again but would not use restaurant on a Sunday evening.

Lovely stay, situated next to the airport. However you do not hear any noise of the planes.
The rooms are large, very clean and the bed is by the most comfortable I've slept in.

As we have family nearby the Holiday Inn Southend is an ideal place to stay. The rooms are always clean and comfortable with nice big beds and we cannot fault the appearance of the staff or their attention to our every question or need. On this occasion - a rarity - we felt the breakfast could have been better as the mushrooms an beans were not very warm. Generally though the food is hot and delicious. We have stayed here frequently and we will be back at least twice over the next year. Huge well done to everyone. We keep coming back because we enjoy staying here and have never hesitated to recommend it to family and friends.
