Recently renewed city central Helsinki hotel with a conference centre and a health club with swimming pool.
Overlooking Hesperia Park, our renewed Crowne Plaza® Helsinki - Hesperia hotel is close to the Finnish National Opera House and just a few minutes from the city centre.
We’re a short walk from both the National Museum of Finland, Olympic Stadium and Finlandia Hall conference centre. Helsinki Central Train Station is a 5-minutes bus or tram ride away, and it’s 30 minutes by train to Helsinki Airport. You can host even up to 1000 guests in the 15 flexible spaces on our dedicated conference floor, and our Hesperia Ballroom.
At our hotel you can enjoy:

- A 24-hour business centre
- On-site garage parking
Our revamped, elegant guest rooms offer a combination of comfort, connectivity and flexibility. One big criticism

The Club Lounge MUST be manned during breakfast and the cocktail evening! A group of Russian males brought several plastic bags and filled them with ALL the beer cans and wine bottles that were laid out for other guests and took it to their rooms. When I challenged them, they replied, "We don't speak English".
The Duty Manager was informed and said this had been a problem every night for the last 3 nights with this group of guests. He promised to take action.
At breakfast in the lounge, this same group cleared all the food out in the same way.
The Duty Manager told me this morning that the group had been warned about their conduct.
This is a staffing problem, plain and simple. My loyalty means that I can enjoy such benefits . However, it is not fair on loyal and trustworthy guests to have their benefits spoiled by guests who are at best selfish, at worst just common thieves. What is the point of working very hard to protect your brand when you allow certain guests to destroy that image?
In future I will not stay at any IHG hotel unless the Club Lounge is manned at breakfast/evening cocktails.

Comfortable bed and gear service

Got the room for a short get away and from the moment I stepped in the door I felt welcome. Staff was more than polite and very attentive and helpful accomadating my requests. I have no complaints .

Hotel nice but let down by some staff

Hotel was clean and modern. Air conditioning was too hot in room and was at lowest setting did not cool room. A colleague in another room made the same observation who struggled to sleep. I dined in the al-la carte restaurant twice, the second time was good, first meal I had poor quality and bad service. Manager addressed complaint professionally. Finally not a massive issue but requested towels from receptionist but they did not come.

In regards to AC, our setting guide is available in room and we are more than happy to be contacted to come to room to take one through the setting guidelines. The temperature can be managed from 18 - 28 degree as per guest likeliness.

Car Parking

Only criticism would be it was not clear at night where to enter hotel and where to park the car as we were leaving it there for the duration of our vacation (8 days) and also not clear what action to take with regard to parking ticket verification, i.e. had to go back to car for ticket whcih had been left in the car (lengthy walk) to get it verified.

I am sorry the message wasn't clear in regards to Park and Go, however we have an a4 sign by the ticket barrier explaining the car park process and once again at check-In, we run through the whole process and stamp the ticket for future usage.

Excellent Service

Overall, the hotel experience (4 nights) was excellent. Staff in all areas were attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very good, and the bar staff was also quick to take care of you.
