Great Stay

Overall this was a very nice hotel. It was clean and the pool area was great for my kids. The king/bunk bed rooms were great for the kids as well. Checking in only 2/3 rooms were ready and the clerk was rather rude getting us into the third room. I asked at 3:55pm when our room would be ready and he stated that they were still cleaning and had five minutes. The first desk staff had been pleasant though. I was somewhat disappointed that I was told there were no connecting rooms before arrival and when we got there our rooms all connected to another. The rental bikes looked really nice and I wish I'd known to book ahead of time so we could have taken advantage of that.

Nice hotel next to Grand Canyon

This hotel's location was great. They have nice amenities like smores but no free breakfast. They do offer a starbucks coffee machine in the lobby but it always had a line because it only makes one cup of a tall size every few minutes since it's grinding and steeping the beans for each cup. It would be helpful and quicker if they offered the coffee canisters where more people can just grab a cup quickly. It's also the same machine for hot water so you would have to wait on line even if you only wanted tea. the pool was nice and game room was fun to play for a little break. The food options in grand canyon overall are not great so it's fine but don't expect a lot. Lastly they housekeeping was not great as there was socks that were not ours found on side of the bed when we arrived, the fridge wasn't working and they had to replace and also our safe was not working and they said the computer board in it was broken. Also the conditioner was empty since we arrived and they never filled it. They finally did bring me a replacement but after I was already packed and leaving.

Relaxing resort feel, clean and comfortable.

Highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a place to unwind and relax. Great staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Facilities on site were fantastic, restaurant options, gift shop, arcade and swimming pools. Kids loved the smores at night. Great kids eat free with paying adult. Water cooler onsite and courtesy laundry. We were very happy.

Great location, clean and comfortable room

Great location, clean and comfortable room, and nice amenities. I didn’t appreciate the Cleaning Lady coming into our room mid afternoon while we were napping (woke up super early for the sunrise) despite having the do-not-disturb sign on our door. I also wasn’t a fan of the paying $25/day for basic resort amenities (pool, ping pong) that they added at check in (yes now I see it was in the fine print, but still wasn’t made apparent to me at the time of booking.) If they are mandatory charges for everyone, why not just build them into the price instead of making it a surprise add on at check in?! Other than that it was a pleasant stay and served our purpose well of being close to the park so we could hop in and out for the sunrise and sunset.

Good service horrible hotel

I stayed here with my girlfriend while we were visiting her parents. When we arrived there was a dead roach in the middle of our hallway from the day we checked in to the day we checked out. Everytime I had to close my door to my room I either had to slam it or throw myself into it and nearly dislocate my shoulder to get it closed. Black mold residue in the shower, flys all around the undercooked breakfast food. Only bright spot was the water pressure and the free hot chocolate. Would give 0 stars if possible

Dirty, dated, and cramped

Although this hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter, we would never stay there again. So many things need to be improved, from the cleanliness to the responsiveness. We made several complaints of garbage, food crumbs, and a cockroach that was by the elevator right by our door, and it was never cleaned in the three nights we stayed. Overall, we felt the hotel and room was gross. The room was way too small and outdated and the carpet was old and grimey. The bathroom was very tiny with the toilet against the sink and shower which also leaked all over the floor. It was nice to have a rooftop pool, but we didn't feel comfortable swimming in it. I requested a high-floor room away from elevators - we got a second-floor room next to the elevator. At check-in, we were not greeted as Platinum Elite members, and I was not able to check out using the app. We did get a good deal on the room as part of the agreement to attend a Holiday Inn Club Vacations time share presentation, but in the end, our experience did more harm than good for the brand and wasn't worth it.

We stayed at this place on Monday evening as we were going to the airport early, early in the morning, We called down around 7:00 stating the TV did not work either in the living room nor in the bedroom. He said they would send some one up as soon as they could. An hour later we realized the air conditioner did not work - at all in the living room. We could not even get it to turn on. Thinking someone would be up soon, we did not call for someone to come fix it. Fortunately the bedroom air conditioner was working. We went to bed around 9 PM. no one showed up nor did they call us. we got up at 2:00 AM to catch the shuttle to the airport. the driver did not ask us how our stay. But he did ask us to let him know if the open window on the van was OK.
I was very disappointed in the room and the response we did not get. We have stayed at this Holiday Inn several times before and never had any issues. this time we did use points

Needs attention

Stayed here for a business trip for 4 nights. There is no bar or restaurant- just a kitchen delivering to a lobby and a mini fridge behind the front desk. Staff is friendly, relatively clean but many instances of oversight from upper management. The high-flow faucet was rusted and moldy. The outlets were loose making it impossible to blow-dry my hair. There were holes in multiple pillowcases even after maid service came back in the room. No streaming services are available on the TV, only cable. No dressers in the rooms either, in replacement of the dedication to "wellness". More attention to deal and less skimping to save money can go a long way at this location.

Hotel is… fine!

Overall, this hotel is fine. There were pros and cons to staying here. Staff was mainly great and on top of things aside from one front desk attendant with AirPods and on their phone at the desk. Breakfast was different each morning was nice, the pool was relaxing but the hours were inconvenient. The beds were comfortable but windows let light in and you can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway. Laundry had inconvenient hours but overall worked well. Parking onsite is always a plus but VERY tight and limited. We would probably stay here again!

Good for a nights rest

We were driving to Baton Rouge and needed to stop for the night. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was clean. Air conditioning worked great. The only thing that wasn’t great was the breakfast. There wasn’t much there. The juice machine was broken and the pancake maker wasn’t on. So we basically had an apple, a piece of sausage and bacon. Not a huge deal. We just stopped and grabbed something once we left. I would stay here again if in Memphis.
